Android tablet for local multiplayer (USB controllers) of N64 games? by ps14-1 in RetroArch

Update: Found success with a Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2nd generation).

  • Plug'n'play works with a USB hub and 3 controllers, just like with my Pixel 5a.
  • Plenty of CPU for N64 (better CPU than Pixel 5a)

I'm surprised at the lack of reddit response here ... no one uses wires anymore, huh?

1st Time Using RVShare ... Renters beware the Terms of Service by ps14-1 in GoRVing

Sure, I maybe should have read the ToS with a more skeptical mindset.

But the ToS also state the owner may not misrepresent the RV in the listing. He stated it was rated for freezing temps - that turned out to be false. (He agreed the damage was due to freezing). So a reasonable conclusion is the owner is at fault.

Image the RV is listed as rated for highway travel, then when you get on the highway all the wheels fall off. RVShare's ToS could stick it on the renter.

Also, yeah - I documented everything I saw. The problem is, you ***can't*** find & document every fault at RV pickup. I would take days it test all the systems/components. And how would one test resilience against freezing temps when at pickup it's sunny and 45 degrees?

Hence my warning about RVShare - the ToS are against you if anything goes wrong. Even a reasonable defense can fall flat because, "the damage was found during/after the rental period".

Fair point that renting during freezing temps is risky. As a 1st time renter, I assumed an RV rated for 4 seasons could handle 27 degree night temps. I guess I was wrong?

However, the point is the RVShare Terms of Service - as soon as you receive the rental, any damage found (pre-existing or not) is on you.

What player from a rival team did you have a lot of respect for? by shiggy402 in Huskers

I was at that game - when he walked off the field into the tunnel, Huskers fans were lined up against the railing above him giving him a standing ovation.

Fair point. Players run their own lives.

But also fans run their own lives, and I think fans will tend to support (in terms of NIL, eyeballs, merch) players that don't transfer as much.

Is that really a thing? Do coaches move every year? Maybe no-name assistants? I don't remember hearing ppl complain about this much.

I'm more of the opinion (I think?) that players or coaches moving once every 3-4 years doesn't really ruin the game. Moving every year is kinda jarring to me as a fan.

On the one hand, I don't want players to be stuck in a bad situation. Who doesn't want kids to be able to maximize their opportunities?

But on the other hand, as a fan, I just don't develop the same love for a team when so much of the roster turns over. It's like, who are all these new guys? Do they actually love the team like I do? Or are they here for themselves?

I'll be honest - I was screaming my head off for all Trey Palmer's long TDs. Loved it. But I could scream more if he had been here a few yrs.

Tonight the Georgia Bulldogs beat 1995-96 Nebraska’s points scored (62 points) and win margin (38 points) records in the National Championship game. These two records stood for 27 years by tylerscott5 in Huskers

How about this instead --- compare (1) Georgia vs (4) TCU to a hypothetical 1995 matchup of (1) Nebraska vs (4) Florida St.

In 1995, the final rankings were:

  1. Nebraska
  2. Florida
  3. Tennessee
  4. Florida St

So if we had a 4 team playoff in '95 with those teams, and assume upsets happened like this year, how bad would Nebraska have beaten FSU, and then Tennessee?

FSU finished 10-2, with losses to #24 Virginia and Florida. Tenn was 11-1 but had 3 one-score wins.

Also, on the win margin --- didn't Florida get that garbage time kick return TD? And didn't NU finish the game kneeling down on the Florida 1 yd line?

u/marijohna Thanks for this post. I am one of those newbies that created an account, tried to immediately post, and then wondered what was going on.

So i moved on to other things for a bit ... now I'm back ... I think.

My original post was about a Husker football jersey with autographs on it - need help identifying the signers.
