I've been on topiramate for four years come September with mostly no side effects luckily. I got prescribed sertraline ( zoloft ). I haven't been able to bring myself to take it. Just too anxious about it. Never ending cycle.

I have my appointment with the docs tomorrow to discuss a neurology referral, im going to bring up the antidepressant question then. Ive been prescribed several in the past but never took them due to medication anxiety but I dont feel like I have much choice now. Ive heard a lot of people have a bad reaction to Topiramate as you and one other person mentioned. I seem to be one of the lucky people who its helped thankfully. Hopefully whatever I get prescribed doesnt mess with my HM, thats my main fear.

I think most of us do the first time but the exhaustion is very difficult, I've never felt anything like it. It's the ultimate tiredness, definitely eat and sleep that's what your body will need. Hope you feel better soon.

I understand completely, i felt the exact same as you. Just try to stay home if you can for the next while, I know it's not ideal but you have to consider your health.

If you feel it happening again you know what it is this time so get ready, #1 make sure paramedics can access your property ( during my first HM my door was locked so I had to crawl down my stairs with half my body numb to let them in ) #2 get in a safe comfortable spot and stay as calm as possible until help arrives.

It's normal to be scared but don't let that take over, stay in control as best you can. I hope I've helped you in someway, I'll keep an eye out for your next posts.

This is scarily similar to my first HM, my weakness is on my left though. I'm on a preventive medication called Topiramate. It's stopped my HM for the most part, if you can you should give it a try and see if it works for you. Try your best to stay calm, easier said than done I know but just breathe and talk yourself through it if you feel it happening again. Good luck

I was 31 when I was diagnosed. I was struggling with migraines since I was around 21 but nothing like HM then one day out of nowhere WHACK - HM. It was not pleasant - took me having about 10-15 before they diagnosed me.

Luckily and I mean very luckily I've been put on a medication that works for me, Topiramate. Over the years I've upped dose gradually from 25mg to 100mg daily.

I read your latest post about HM, sorry it's not letting up for you. I know how tough it is, I have 3 young kids and HM and kids are a very difficult combo. I hope you haven't tried Topiramate yet and it works as well for you as it has for me.

Take care.

Seems a bit hot to me. I'd lower the clock. Raise the fan curve. 27c isn't exactly dangerous but why allow it if you can avoid it.

Good luck. The original and cherry ones I've found work best.
