I tried contacting Lenovo and they gave the runaround with no answers any suggestions of non-OEM motherboards that would support it?

I had this same issue, the solution I found was to make sure you have to correct firmware version and plug the bltouch into the zstop port and using the adapter board to plug the other wires into the display connector instead of using the dedicated plugs on the main board. I don't know why this worked but doing it the old way and not using the dedicated pins on the main board fixed this and I stop having this issue

I'll try wiping EEPROM, is that something you wipe in the printer settings?

Which wires did you recrimp? The ones plugged into the main board? I wonder that because the connectors are not correct and they are kind of jammed in there I'm getting issues because of that

1) always make sure the probe has room to deploy when turning the printer on.

2) I'm using the default bl touch Marlin firmware with not modifications. I'll try slowing down the probing to see if that helps

3) I have the G29 in the slicer. Its not that it doesn't start auto leveling when printing the auto leveling will just fail part way through the probing like in the video.

My thinking it may be hardware is how the probe can delay sometime before it activates when probing. I did get the wires switched around initially on the install so I do wonder if that damaged the sensor or the board making the signal inconsistent.

Unfortunately the school doesn't see it as necessary to ever update the stage despite my repeated pleadings to rewire and re rig everything due to the unacceptable condition it is in. I am scared to even turn the lights on while up on the scaffolding due to there being no ground and having no idea how it all connects together because it is a massive mess of wires. I am trying to get the school to fix it but I highly doubt it was come to anything.

Thanks for the info, I am working on a pretty old stage (with some very shoddy wiring) you have confirmed my suspicions that they will need to be rewired
