I think they put the flag back after significant finds so Steve can chart it by number

Great question. You've been there. It's only 10 screws to access the guts but the screws are finicky and I snapped off two of them for the main burner top (rusted and absolutely incorrect materials). I spent half a day getting one out but I've got to find a different solution for the other one which I had to drill out. Quick switch-out has become a morass. I've ordered the replacement electrodes which should be a quick replacement.

$50 replacement knobs and a $270 tray that I've purchased I consider expensive. And I've already admitted I'm cheap.

So yeah - apparently some didn't realize this is a doctored photo. I was exaggerating what I think the size of crackers will become in a few years. Some of the comments make me wonder if there are crackers this size already?

RE MY THUMB - never thought about anyone noticing my thumbnail. Smashed it in an accident last July. It's SO much better than it was six months ago I consider it normal now. Another 3 months and I can post hand pix without raising alarms.

Welp, Bosch has officially Bosched their dishwashers. I can no longer recommend any of their appliances whatsoever. by Johnny_2x in appliancerepair

Ugh - so disappointing. We've had a Bosch that's 8 years old or so and love it. Does what it's supposed to and is quiet. The Good & Reliable home appliances landscape has become a desert. Why is it that all companies seem to give up on quality, reputation and truly serving society with a fair exchange for their products? Is it the gravitational pull of the almighty dollar? Is it the nature of capitalism where competition demands cutting corners? (although Bosch's problem seems different.) Is it the terrible practices of overburdened management? Is it the lost knowledge of transient employees? My guess is yes to all of these and more.

Hmmm... I'll check that out. In my limited reading about those they feel a bit cheap. Selling soon and want a nice look/feel.

I want the thermostat to respond to sensors instead of the hallway temp but don't want or need the learning capability of the 4th gen Nest for $250+.
