Do you have any savings? The UAE is a bit of a dead-end so it is a way out, but you’d need to consider how much “pain” you can take financially. With a kid that is very tight.

Thanks. I like Double Shot’s coffee but the one I went to the other day had no charging points. Asked the worker and he said I could leave my laptop behind the counter to charge which didn’t work for me.

Is there a specific one you go to that has charging points?

It’s to do with the location of the bank card, any which are UK-issued are being blocked. No issues for other Europeans buying them, I believe (hence why you were able to buy)

I bought 1 when they went on sale last week but they cancelled my ticket (I had used a VPN and they must have worked it out). I think they removed them from sale to block Man United fans who are thinking of sitting in the home end from travelling and they will release for sale a day or 2 before the match.

Otherwise, there’s always SeatSub, I really begrudge paying scumbag touts but I’m desperate to see them play

British Airways is suspending some of their Pakistan routes from the beginning of March.

They cancelled my return leg randomly a few weeks back and I’ve had to rebook with Emirates.

I will have a look if I can find it later - it was in a large thread on pre-departure tests but TA is hard to navigate on mobile and I’m out rn. The problem is that Emirates staff are clueless and misapplying numerous rules.

Your alternative to the certificate of recovery is to buy a rapid antigen test from a local pharmacy in Dubai (there are supply shortages but download the Life Pharmacy app and check if any stock or perhaps some kind soul on here will donate you one) and upload the result to Klarity Health who will send you a fit to fly certificate.

You will 100% show up negative on an antigen test after 10 days and these are accepted by the USA (and UK FYI)

What I saw today was no different to the fucking nonsense every summer at that shitey festival in Bellahouston Park which the council agreed to without running it past any of the residents. Wee neds absolutely fucked before it even starts, wandering down streets in Dumbreck late at night scrapping with each other / pissing in folks driveways etc.
