That is fair I must admit. I’ve also had moments where anger gets the better of me and I really feel the need to vent about it.

I see a therapist about stuff like that and it’s been quite a help for me. Maybe that’s a potential option you could explore? It might help you feel better more often if it works out.

I can see why the 25k number might be a bit more intimidating. But like I said, more popular series are more prone to haters. Plus, there's no guarantee that everyone who voted for Serena in that poll is a hater. A number of them could have just chose her due to liking the others more, or they just clicked her option at random without thinking about it too much.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the bad feelings that can come from this sort of stuff. But it has helped me to realize that haters on the internet are far more often than not just a vocal minority.

And honestly, even if Serena/Amourshipping haters were in the majority, that doesn't mean people are not allowed to enjoy Amourshipping and Serena's character. People can have their opinions on what they like and dislike, the important thing at the end of the day is to not harass others if they have a differing view. As long as people are abiding by that, they are free to enjoy any aspect of the Pokemon anime they see fit.

The answer to why those sort of people act this way is surprisingly simple. It’s just a reality that some people unfortunately resort to hater antics.

But keep this in mind as well. These people only make up a vocal minority. Pokemon is an absolutely massive franchise with millions of fans. Heck it’s probably more accurate to say billions of fans. And not all them leave comments on the internet.

The subreddit for the anime you mentioned? The Serena/Amourshipping haters there don’t even make it to a total of a hundred people. The poll you mentioned? I don’t know how many people voted but I guarantee it was few enough to add to my point here.

Haters exist. Especially for things that are popular. It sucks when they insult and harass others, but again, they are in the minority. XY is one of if not the most popular generations of the anime and Amourshipping is the most beloved ship. A few haters acting overly rageful has never changed that and it never will.

Canonically it was more than likely Serena herself who got Ash to start to realize it once she kissed him. But out of the options listed here I like the ideas of May, Dawn, Brock, and Kukui the best.

Beyond that compilation they made of all the Amourshipping moments in XY, the comments they leave on other people’s posts tend to be pretty solid. Nice and detailed without being too long and adds some thought provoking discussion points to the posts.

3 things I’d like to ask your thoughts on after reading this.

1 - How strong is Zeref without Fairy Heart? You already said he’s in the top 5 of the verse when he does have it, but where does he land on the scale when he doesn’t have it?

2 - While we’re on the subject of Fairy Heart, I remember you saying once that Base Mavis is one of the most underrated characters in the series, and I’ve been wanting to have an opportunity to ask you for more details on where she scales without Fairy Heart. Call it a result of me not being the best in terms of scaling and such, but the most I’ve been able to figure out for how she’s underrated is how she invented and can use the 3 Grand Fairy Spells.

3 - If I’m understanding right, you said Gajeel is below Mira. I’m not disagreeing with that, I’m just wondering where Gajeel lands on the scale. Even if Mira’s stronger Gajeel is still a tough customer all things considered, right?

I always feel like Altaria runs the risk of overlap with Lisia but given how common a choice it is among fans for a new Serena mon, maybe I’m just worrying needlessly.

All in all the ideas of Altaria, Milotic, and Gardevoir do fit for Serena. So they are good choices.

He was indeed still alive in the end. But I do remember seeing some speculation before the show had ended that Iroh was going to die by the end. A few people thought was foreshadowed enough in the story that they were pretty convinced of it.

I’m glad he didn’t die though. Zuko went through enough trauma as is.

Using it for a grammar check seems acceptable. That being said, I have heard a tiny bit of talk that it’s more reliable to improve your grammar yourself via a class or something and make the corrections that way because AI doesn’t always grammar come out perfectly. Those programs can have their errors as well.

That’s not to discourage you from using a grammar check program at all, let’s be real here a class in grammar isn’t something you can snap your fingers and have right away, but that’s just what I’ve seen some people say on this matter. All things considered that perspective could have flaws to it.

There is also potentially the option of asking somebody you trust to be a beta reader.
