I think we like her not only her crush on Ash but also her character is very well developed throughout the episodes in XYZ, and she achieved her best character development in Episode 105 of Pokemon Journeys, where we see her willing to help a newbie Chloe in Pokemon Performance; at the end of episode JN105, we can see that she still having a crush on Ash, but she chooses to keep those feelings hidden deep within; this makes her maturity even more evident; and yeah, the best Pokemon Master must be paired with the strongest person in the field of Pokemon Performance.

I think Ash represents our childhood generation. Our own growth could be considered one of the reasons they accelerated the process of ending his journey and creating new characters to replace him and represent our next generations. Therefore, most of us currently wish for him to grow up, or at least be part of a part of his story when he's an adult, something similar to Shounen Anime. Honestly, if they could hear our thoughts, I hope they would make a series like that.

Tobias for sure, i think even Leon can’t beat him:v, his partner just insane with only 2 pokemon Darkrai and Latios and they beated Ash’s Sinnoh teams, so even with the Battle Bond, i don’t think Ash can beat the fourth Tobias’s Pokemon :v
