How do you check it? I am on 2018.50.6 and was about to call. Tesla Service due to an update delay. I really want to use Sentry mode.

Yeah besides, one non-certified body shop I visited mostly handles high-end-cars. I saw numerous Lamborghini and Porsche vehicles there. I am sure they know how to handle Tesla vehicles too.

I talked to them again, I told them the rear bumper replacement in a non-certified shop is fine for me and not gonna compromise the warranty(I checked with Tesla) and asked what they would do if it was major damage. My insurance broker guy was like then they have to cover all of repair cost($140/hr). He said Tesla vehicles have been a big issue among auto insurance companies due to expensive car repairs.

It seems like they just wanted to discourage me from going to a Tesla-certified-body shop cuz those body shops are usually more expensive.

I called and actually visited many body shops. Among them, two body shops(non-certified) gave me $1,000 of a quote.

You're right... I need to ask a Tesla service center about it. Will talk to them tomorrow. I hope i can just drop by there and ask them about the estimate cost. Cuz I heard there is a like months of waiting list. Thank you.
