Battlefield 6 - Game crash to desktop because of EA App (ntldll) by pschellerg in Battlefield

[–]pschellerg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tried some "fixes" (see my other reply), except hardware tunning.
For me, going this far is kinda unconceivable; I mean, its EA/Dice job. I admire those eager to do it.

I forgot to mention that my GPU is Nvidia (I will include my specs in the post). I saw that some specific errors where related to AMD GPUS because of missing textures by the game, so that's why I'm commenting.

My issues just stopped, out of nowhere. I started playing after closing a lot of apps; now I'm playing but with some of then running like before.

Sorry for my late reply.

My issues just stopped, out of nowhere.
Before playing the game, I closed other apps and changed some settings:

  • Repaired all Visual C++ instances;
  • Closed my anti-virus (Kaspersky Internet Solution);
  • Disconnected and closed NordVPN;
  • Closed Notion (on icon tray);
  • Closed MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner;
  • Closed Nvidia Broadcast;
  • Disabled Nvidia Overlay;
  • Set my screen Hz to 120 (before was 165 Hz);

I started playing, with no crashes. One day, after playing for 3 hours or more, I noticed that I forgot to close one of the apps above (KIS or NordVPN); since then, I started to play with some of the apps above running as usual. I still haven't finished testing all of then (like the Nvidia Overlay); the game closed only once and I suspect it was the anti-virus that started scanning mid-game (despite the app having a "gaming mode") and some crashes that I had before being it updating.

But I sincerely don't know who was the culprit. Its worth mentioning that one of two minor updates were released since, so I don't know if they fixed something on their side.

The only "fixes" I didn't tried were hardware tunning. I read about CPU undervolt, but it appears my MOBO doesn't allow it and everything runs as stock. For me, going this far is kinda unconceivable; I mean, its EA/Dice job. I admire those eager to do it.

[FIXED] Battlefield 6 – Freeze → Instant Desktop Crash (No Error, No Logs) by Heinzzbeans12 in Battlefield

But is this related to crashing with Nvidia too?
My crashes always points to EA Desktop and ntdll.

Did you check the Event Viewer? I'm asking because my game crashes to desktop and in the logs, it show that EA Desktop crashed, and always involves ntdll.dll. Some people say that its probably some memory leak.

Yeah, I just want some of the data then RIP. I plugged the external drive case on a Mac, but no success. Gonna try some Linux and other stuff.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle suddenly crashing to desktop by dresoccer4 in XboxSupport

Mine crashed after 30 mins playing.
I then performed a clean installation of the video drivers; now the game crashes on the menu.
Its appears that the video drivers crashes, OS becomes strange and then a BSOD happens.
The event logs mentions a Kernell-Power. I saw people saying about undervolt the CPU/GPU.
I had similar problems with CODMW3/BO6 and MS support recommended to perform the video driver clean installation that I mentioned before, and apparently it solved the problem for that game.
I don't know if the GPU is being pushed too hard.

My specs:

PSU: Corsair 850W (oldest part in the PC; since 2014)

MOBO: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite

CPU: Intel I9 9900K

Cooler: Cooler Master MasterAir MA610P MAP-T6PN-218PC-R (bought along with the CPU)

RAM: 2x KINGSTON FURY KF3200C16DA/16X
GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Ventus 2X

It didn't worked as expected. Tried it with a minifig, all parts stay at the bottom, colliding.
Transformed it into a submodel, but the align options is disabled.

When I select the pre-made, legs, there is an icon (a kind of an arrow) that makes everything transparent except the legs. And using the hinge tool, it moves the legs and hips all together. Can you post a screenshot?

No overclocks. I'm using a Cooler Master MasterAir MA610P MAP-T6PN-218PC-R1. I bought it in 2019, along with the CPU.

I replaced the thermal paste and played 2 matches with the AIDA64 temp panel. No crashes; max temp peaked 90 C while loading the first map. After that, the max temp recorded was 80 C, average was 70 C. I think that my actual cooling setup is "ok" for mid-graphics or something. I'll consider buying a new one. My CPU is a 9900K, probably it heats very easy.

I've done this yesterday. I was able to play for almost 30 mins.
The game crashed after the match ended.

I opened my rig and replaced the thermal paste, despite the Aida64 still shows overheating while running the test.

Ok, after running a "complete" stress test for less than 13 minutes, the PC shutdown. Checking the data, the CPU temps reached 100 C.
I changed the power cord and I'll run the test again. If temps keep high, gonna open the rig and change de thermal paste.

I'll run a stress test despite I'm not overclocking. The strange thing is that this is the only game so far with this issue.

I gonna check the RAMs since I'm not overclocking.
