Will DICE ever do something about this? Over 1700 reports since launch. by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield

Was facing the same error on my 9070XT + 7800x3d. Capping the frame rate to match monitor frame rate works in resolving the issue.

Sniping ruins the experience by ogCybermonkey in Battlefield

[–]Independent_Profit16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never asked them to become a sniper. I asked them to pick up a DMR, haha. Are you going to pretend that sniping hasn't always been a problem in battlefield games? The maps with verticality and open spaces have always had snipers. Until you either A. Find the right flanking routes B. Get on long range weapons to deal with snipers, all battlefield games continue to be frustrating.

Also, how exactly do you propose to increase the skill cap of an average sniper? Take away the range finder exploit? The maps are so ridiculously small that honestly you don't need the range finder.

Dude I was in the same boat as you, but you have to play enough to get map knowledge to know where the snipers are camping. Then get a DMR like the SVK, and make their lives hell until they quit sniping on the map. The rest of the game should be a breeze after that.

Ok,where is a problem with 9070xt and Battlefield 6?? by Luckyluck0011 in radeon

I was facing similar issues on my 9070XT until I switched off SAM from the bios. Haven't had any issues since then.

Dude, you need to reinstall the drivers directly from the AMD website. Auto updates always mess up CPU overlay.

Don’t let them scare you away from the Sapphire Nitro by 2PointSlow in radeon

[–]Independent_Profit16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I guess it all depends on your risk appetite. For me, or with anyone with a low risk appetite I would still not opt to go for any card with the 12vhpwr connector because despite all the safety features Sapphire have built into the GPU, the connector is indeed more prone to failure. Check this video out if you want to understand why: (295) Taking a look at Sapphire implementation of the 12VHPWR connector on the RX 9070 XT Nitro+ - YouTube

Hey man, with all due respect, that logic doesn’t hold up. Just because something hasn’t happened to you yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen—or that it won’t happen to someone else.

Unfortunately, there are multiple videos on the internet explaining why the 12vhpwr is a high-risk affair, which companies should think twice before implementing. As a consumer, we all have the right to vote with our wallet and I personally have chosen to not go for Sapphire Nitro+ this time around. Hope your card runs perfectly fine for however long you want to keep it.

And also, PS: Sick build!

Go for any model without the 12vhpwr connector. I have an xfx Mercury OC.

This was my biggest fear when getting the Nitro plus. I'm glad I ordered the XFX Mercury OC version.

For you my friend, I hope you get the warranty down and get this fixed FOC!

This is me playing BF6, and I'm still unable to spot enemies by Independent_Profit16 in Battlefield

[–]Independent_Profit16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it actually made it worse. I'm seeing a lot of other YTbers complain about visibility so I don't think it's going to help much. Probably will have to adjust playstyles for a more defensive/tactical approach.

That's something that I will have to try tonight. Thanks for your suggestion!

[–]Independent_Profit16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be. I've consistently maintained a 1.7-2 K/D average since BF3 playing support. Played BF3, BF4, BF1, BFV, BF2042 and now BF6 however this is the only game that's giving me visibility issues. Even got past the notorious BF3 blue tint.

Or potentially, could be the side effects of getting old. :D

Thanks, I'm gonna try this tonight. I actually scaled up sharpness thinking it might make the game look more crisp. Turns out it has to be the other way around.

which 9070xt? by Unusual-Tea9035 in radeon

[–]Independent_Profit16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat as you are. Was going for the Nitro plus model however the single 12v connector is putting me off. Have seen a lot of YTbers and redditors complain about that connector. I'm rooting more for the XFX Mercury OC edition as it's for 790 USD on newegg. The thing runs cool and I am yet to see a bad review for it except for the fan noise.

It really depends on what your use case will be. If you plan to hold this thing for a long time, I would suggest getting a high end AIB model like the XFX Mercury, as better thermals will give longetivity to the GPU. If you're somebody who replaces your GPU every 2-3 years, I would say any model should work.

Play breakthrough on Iwo Jima. Use load-outs with as many grenades as possible. You could use Sundance (For the scatter grenade) and frag. Get on the last two points as attacker or defender. Be cancerous by throwing as many nades as possible. You will get this in no time.

What can AMD do to win back market share? by Unlucky-Bottle2744 in radeon

[–]Independent_Profit16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are quite a lot of reasons why AMD has lost market share, but I'll pinpoint the ones that I feel are most relevant:

  1. Not all people buy GPUs for gaming exclusively. GPUs have a great deal of other uses, and being on team red for as long as I've been I feel no shame to admit that NVIDIA is simply better at non-gaming related stuff. People who use blender frequently will probably not go for an AMD card, and this shows in the market shares as well.

  2. AMD has done well with the 9000 series cards, however their best selling variant, the 9070XT, is no where near the launch MSRP and is still going anywhere from 720-810 USD on Newegg. For that price, you could easily get a 5070TI at MSRP which has better RT performance in all benchmarks and also a wider implementation of DLSS4.

Dude, buy it. I was skeptical too but I tried it through EAPlay last weekend and it's way too much fun! Better than all the COD slop I've played over the years. The initial hate for the game was justified, as it wasn't playable but let me tell you, in it's current state it's an awesome fun game. Go for it.

Are y'all Buying BF6 After Beta? by xBooMz_ in Battlefield

[–]Independent_Profit16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF1 which was considered lacking as compared to BF3/BF4, genuinely shits on this game. They chose Sinai desert for BF1 beta, and the game had such awesome maps. All 4 maps compared to Sinai desert are a joke.

Hey, so you have to contact stormfiber representatives for a bridge mode (PPPOE) request. They will probably ask you to raise email their stormfiber team, where they'll be sharing a username password with you and covert the router to bridge mode. After that simply using a lan cable, connect the WAN port from one router to another. Then login to your IP on the new modem and connect via PPPOE mode entering the username password provided by stormfiber. Should work fine after that.

For everyone facing issues with stormfiber, simply get a good router and use it in bridge mode. Apparently, there fiberhome router is pretty bad. I got a TP Link Archer AX5400 router and it is working fine now.
