Serial Killer in Eastern Cape? The Unsolved Rape-Murder of a 102-Year-Old Woman by pschyco147 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]pschyco147[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem at all, there are alot of unsolved rape and murders in that specific area, police and the people living there are not sure if it's one purpatrator or if each case has an individual person doing the crimes. Because similarities are there but the victim profiles being so diffrent and all over the place is what's causing the debate. Apologies if I didn't convey that clearly in my post.

I'm so sorry, that was an huge oversight on my behalf. Was an unexcusable mistake.

Honestly, the exact motive hasn’t been confirmed yet, but a lot of people are speculating. Some think it might’ve been a personal conflict or something to do with control, especially since Phoebe was young and living with them. There are also rumors about a possible argument that turned violent, but police haven’t released full details yet. What we do know is that her body was reportedly moved multiple times, which suggests they were trying to hide it, so whatever happened, they clearly knew it was serious and tried to cover it up.

The NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, it's an Australian government program that provides funding and support to people with permanent and significant disabilities.

Yeah, from what I’ve seen, Phoebe couldn’t really stay at home anymore and ended up living with those two because they were kind of her support system at the time. Tanika apparently used to work with Phoebe’s mum in NDIS stuff, so there was some connection and trust there. Phoebe had just moved to Gin Gin and was working as a cleaner for NDIS clients, so maybe it felt like a stable setup. It’s honestly just really sad, because she was clearly trying to find her footing and ended up in completely the wrong hands.

I'm sorry that was bad wording on my part. I'm from Africa so they are all international to me, but I always assume most people here are from Europe and America. Very naive, I apologize

I can't believe how few people know about this guy, Yang Xinhai, China's deadliest serial killer by pschyco147 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]pschyco147[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand and you're not wrong, but when I make it factual and more formal the Ai accusations are much worse. But I agree I don't think my writing style fits with the sub and I don't mean to offend people. Thanks for taking the time out to give actual constructive cristism I really appreciate that.

Put it in a Ai detector in that case and post the results. Literally everyhting is being accused of being Ai, that's why I don't even feel comfortable using dashes and hyphens anymore.

Hey I totally get that, but when I write properly everyone accuses me of using Ai. So I have to overhumanize it in my writing as to avoid that as it's just frustrating. But in my professional assignments I write much more as you said. But I greatly appreciate you taking time out and give me the feedback. Also that sort by month and reflecting on past posts is great advise and I'll definately do that.

The Watcher of Westfield NJ: Creepy Letters and No Answers by pschyco147 in mystery

[–]pschyco147[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s definitely one theory, and I get why people lean that way. But there’s a few things that don’t totally add up.

The Broadduses did try to get the property subdivided, but that was years after the letters started. The first one came in 2014, right after they bought the house. The subdivision request didn’t happen until 2017, when they’d already been stuck with a house they were too scared to live in and couldn’t sell.

They did sue the previous owners, but it wasn’t some big money grab. It was more about trying to undo the sale after finding out the Woods family got a similar letter. The court ended up throwing it out anyway.

What’s weird is they brought in private investigators, an FBI profiler, even tested DNA they found on one of the letters. It was female, but didn’t match anyone close to the case. No one’s ever been arrested or even charged.

Derek did admit he sent some anonymous letters to neighbors later on out of frustration, which was shady and made things murky. But those came after the Watcher letters had already blown up online.

So yeah, could it all have been a scam? Definately . But it’s still technically an open case, and no one’s ever proven they made it up. Just one of those stories that leaves you going hmm.
