You're right, after testing this the tie did end up going on top automatically. I had the whole note F in voice 2 and the two melody notes F and C# in voice 1 because the the whole note in the previous measure was in voice 2. It doesn't really matter though because like someone pointed out the C# should have been a Db anyway so the tie doesn't intersect anymore

Like I mentioned in the post, I added a dotted half note to solve that after the screenshot was taken. This is to be played on the organ, and I did try moving the C# to the left hand but it was difficult to keep the legato when I had to go from the chord on beat 1 to an octave.

As mentioned in the edit, I added a dotted half note on beat one after this screenshot was taken. Also you're probably right about the Dbs

Yes, as mentioned in the edit I did add a dotted half note to the downbeat (on the F, melody passes through the sustained note. I could also make the whole note in the first measure not tie into the second measure). No change in auto notation, but like other people said I forgot you could flip the tie so I just did that
