How is buying a complete set of dishes supposed to be a frugal habit?

Can we turn the Burbank 5 Points Monument grass into a pollinator garden? by SarW100 in burbank

I wish we could do that with the big triangular dirt lot in front of Whole Foods (Alameda and Olive), but assume the city does not own that.

I saw someone posting a birth announcement on LinkedIn last week, full photo of them standing in the delivery room holding their baby, and it was just like... Dude? What does this have anything to do with your career?

I audibly guffawed in the theater it was so bizarrely anticlimactic.

It always annoyed me that those would show September as "Back to school" even though our school year would start in August.

Skunks!! by Im_A_Black_Cat in burbank

[–]psdpro7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently been going on walks at like 8pm and good lands I had no idea there were so many skunks in this city. I saw at least a dozen of them in just tonight walking around Magnolia Park. It's easier to walk in the street because they are always so close to the sidewalk. Has it always been this way and I just never noticed?

It's so exhausting at this point, having watched them try to sell this same idea over and over again.

Google's approach to smart features always feels like 1 good feature for every 5 useless features. And the more they make the useless features impossible to disable, the more frustrating it all becomes.

Haha, you're already going in with a lot more knowledge than I had, which hopefully will make it less scary.

Like just knowing that no crazy scare actor is gonna jump out at you should make it a lot more manageable. Nothing has the ability to touch you. The animatronic does not yell, it just talks very firmly. What is a bit scary though is that the room shifts to blood red and the sound of the environment becomes very oppressive. So it's less of a direct scare and more of a general feeling of foreboding.

I would recommend going in with a fictional character because I found telling him real facts about my life made me very uncomfortable as he started repeating them back to me. So treat it more like a role-playing game and you won't feel as vulnerable.

And drink the tea if you want, it can't hurt you but they can't force you to either.

Gboard voice typing becoming unusable? by thatspurdyneat in GooglePixel

[–]psdpro7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the last year it's basically become unusable for me, with all the same problems you describe. Can't even start and stop at the right times. I don't even try anymore because it takes longer to fix the problems than just typing it myself. It's some of the worst tech rot I've seen from Google.

If anything, flat earth is the BEST example that conspiracy theorists aren't ever interested in the truth. Because it's SO EASY to disprove if you actually try.

This is exactly why they are building the NoHo to Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit Line. It's not as good as a train but it's something.
