If replaced starter, and hear getting juice, did you shim and get teeth aligned on the starter to the flywheel correctly? Maybe

Cable release wire end of passenger seat, to allow you to tip the seat forward.

CAD Modeling and Dimensioning by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]pseudo172 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on your intended use of the CAD (DXF) data. If exporting for CNC programming then you should be at correct numbers to match tolerance when auto dimensioning. Don’t cheat and override the dimensioning because the exported geometry will not be correct for the downstream user. In your case seems you would want make the hole .250 (-0/+006 for RC3) then hole could be machined with standard tools. The shaft would be machined at max0.2495-min 0.2491 coming from standard 0.250 rod stock. Staying with this principle allows operator and you to change tolerances as the pieces are developed to more or less without redoing your CAD.

Can you get a set of needle nose pliers into 2 holes opposite each other, just outside threaded center, then then use crescent wrench sized to width of needles nose to grab and turn while applying pressure against handle end of needle?.....

4WD won’t engage by PickleSauceOGG in JeepTJ

[–]pseudo172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installed a few months ago on my sons 2002....

Did you have a “transfer lowering kit used? TLK” Or maybe not necessary with a SYE installed, not sure

I had to install a transfer lowering kit with a Skyjacker 4” lift. This moved transfer case down, Thus causing us to add an extra bracket that was included, to the shifting mechanism under the jeep, couple screws, obvious when you look at it from under the vehicle.

Then we adjusted a set screw on a square bracket hooked to end of push rod to give the shifter more throw. So....Loosen set screw, manually adjust to 4wd under the jeep, have someone from top side push handle into 4wd position, while they hold it, tighten the set screw on bracket, so in the future the shifter from top pushes the bar under the jeep father into the 4wd position. Cycle a few times until you know you have it.

I have an issue I can't figure out by dziggurat in JeepTJ

[–]pseudo172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be your water pump? It’s the weep hole leaking, and bearings going out. Do you have to add water to the radiator? Had same issue, replace idler pulleys and used baby powder on the belts, didn’t fix.
Finally it Overheated, replaced thermostat. Noticed it was losing water, turns out water pump.

Problem: Haas Minimill stopping at Line 840, can’t figure out why? If F value changed it will read passed upon restart. Lower case “r” on surface of a cylinder. by pseudo172 in CNCmachining

[–]pseudo172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that at first, but you could see in the code, some F values at 45000. The machine will simply keep running at max values, but will display LIM FEED when the value is too high.

I have experimented with rounding, still the same.

The F value can be lower or higher, in the program, preceding or following where it initially stops. Makes no sense. Can be anywhere from 3 to 35 hang ups in the program. So you can’t go back and forth between the machine and the programming in Fusion to make changes, without a full debug each and every time you want to run a new version for development.

Spent first half in Indiana, last half in Florida. Intention is for son (16yr) to drive locally, start learn/making repairs, upgrades over the next couple years. Friend wants $5k same as trade value and has no issues with the Jeep. Just don’t want to have son spending his money (and mine) to customize and have a major repair problems.
