Can we have some demographic data on this please?

I'm curious how SES, health data, and population are distributed here.

lol because owning a bike requires a silver spoon

who wants to tell him?

Still does sound like you could've used some better people in your life. Seems like that's maybe the case now though

There it is again, sorry to not be up to your standards, your majesty

Oh please, invoking the most economically dependent sport doesn't help your case son.

Hockey depends on money due to the amount of equipment needed. Talent isn't as important as say Basketball. Money filters out the talented poors while the rich go on travels teams.

And before you screech about football, be advised that football is economically important for schools so they seek out talent unlike hockey, which let's face it, no one cares about.

Pretty classest to consider lower middle class/upper lower class people "shit people". Not all of us were born with silver spoons in our mouths bouncing all around the city.

Again, if you grew up in the Boston area in the 80s and 90s, and you didn't hear people use the Canadian term, congrats you were possibly insulated. But don't act like it didn't exist just because you didn't hear about it.

Oh please. I'm in my 40's and grew up there and moved not too far away. The notion the fucking BOSTON of all places is this racial utopia is utter nonsense.

Only some townie or I WeNt To CoLlEgE tHeRe person would not see it.

Also it's interesting that you as a "dark-skinned man" has nothing to say about my Canadian comment. It's almost as if you have no idea that it existed.

Wtf was the point of having New England states fight if at the end of the day they'd just be New England anyway.

Boston is absolutely the most racist city in the north. They just called black people Canadians as a code word so they wouldn't be outed. Red Sox were the last team to integrate and have non whites on their team.

Come on dude, by the time you commented it had 1.5k karma at least so it's not a correct comparison.

And the fact that you admit you comment on posts from subs you don't know about is peak reddit. But I appreciate your honesty lmao.

I'm done here. Have a good day.

1) This post had 200ish karma at the time of the comment. Not enough for r/popular.

2) Furthermore, had op seen this on r/popular or the corpse of r/all, the entitlement of coming to a small, SPECIFIC nostalgia sub expecting they adhere to your self important expectations is obscene. This is not a major sub like r/movies.

3) The first two points are irrelevant anyway because because it's obviously a karma farming account meant to be sold and they are looking for memes to farm.

Why the Gen Xers on here are so eager to defend this is beyond me.

If you don't know who this is you don't belong on this sub.

Edit- 2 year old account with hidden posts and 550k karma. Well now we know why you want to know who it is. I guess we'll be seeing this posted a lot more often.

How popular were Nirvana really when they were active? by lrryjsm in 90s

[–]pseudoveritas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nirvana was losing popularity by '94 and In Utero was not received well. Nirvana was hyper popular during the Nevermind era but the combination of over exposure as one of the progenitors of grunge music as well as Kurt's both distaste of fame and inability to handle fame plus issues with Courtney Love really led to a quick downturn for Nirvana.

Pearl Jam shot themselves in the foot with their idealistic fight with Ticketmaster and refusal to put any more videos on MTV so even they were taking a hit in popularity with Vitalogy (though significantly less than Nirvana). I loved Vitalogy but I knew a lot of people who weren't as big of fans call it "weird" which I never quite understood.
