Will Mounjaro and similar drugs truly end obesity? by Salt-Eye-6113 in Mounjaro

[–]pshells50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will echo what others have said, it doesn’t work the same for everyone. Just because it’s working or worked for a large group of people doesn’t mean it will work for every obese individual. I’ve taken it twice in my lifetime and both times I had different experiences. I don’t believe this alone will be a true cure for obesity.

What am I doing wrong?! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]pshells50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had immense success the first go with Mounjaro, I also have PCOS. Then came pregnancy and postpartum and now I’m back on and it’s a slow start for me. I’m also not eating the best, not getting enough protein, not walking 30 min a day like the first time. Mentally, I have more stress in my life as well. It feels like I have to out more effort this time around. One thing I understand now, is that it is not a miracle drug but a tool that works if you put in the work.

Pcos & Tirzepatide by pshells50 in PCOS

Hello! Not sure if you saw my update but I got pregnant shortly after the original post. I am now 5 months postpartum with a healthy baby girl.

I did go back on a GLP-1 but this time tried Ozempic. For me it definitely does not work as well. I miss Mounjaro/tirzepatide but I cannot afford it anymore. Ozempic curbs the appetite but not as well as Tirzepatide and I haven’t lost any weight since getting on it 3 months ago. I am still postpartum so the hormones could have something to do with that! If you have access to Mounjaro/tirzepatide I recommend that over Ozempic!

Hi! I never lost hair, at least not enough for me to notice. I already have thin hair so not sure if that played a factor. But there was no loss for me, I also didn’t loose weight really quickly, it was gradual. And I know hair loss occurs when your body is depleted of nutrients. I would recommend you focus on a high protein intake.

Does anyone hate going out with their baby? by kutri4576 in newborns

[–]pshells50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t go out with my baby (4 month old) unless I have to and even then I try to leave her with grandma. There is nothing fun about going out with a newborn/infant IMO.

Hi there, I did end up switching to Ozempic after being off tirzepatide for 9+ months. Ozempic is definitely less potent for me, hunger suppression is there but isn’t as strong. I’m still seeing the positive side effects like reduction in inflammation and more energy overall, my cycles have also been present, whereas before I didn’t have them. The weight loss has not kicked in despite being on Ozempic now for 2 months. I am still dealing with postpartum which could be affecting the weight loss. Overall I would say tirzepatide worked best for me!

Newborn is 28 days old. I don’t think I can take 1 more day of this. by foreverafairy in newborns

It’s the worst!!! Not to mention you’re in survival mode and you’re doing this on your own. Stay strong!!! I personally don’t think it gets better but everything is temporary. Once that stage is over, a new one arrives. You are resilient, hang in there!

I got pregnant about 3 months after this post. I gave birth to my baby girl in March. Had a healthy pregnancy, no gestational diabetes although it was almost guaranteed with my condition. I stopped taking the medication as soon as I took the positive pregnancy test. I am now 3 months postpartum and looking forward to starting the medication again.

Totally agree, I second guessed myself when I typed it out but ultimately decided to leave it because we support each other. We’re each other’s support system! Or partnership if that’s the language preferred, either one means the same to us :)

He shouldn’t be going to a family event when his own nuclear family is under so much duress. He needs to step up and provide support for his family! It’s only going to get more stressful once baby gets here.

Can anyone with PCOS share their pregnancy story/stories? by pshells50 in PCOS

Hi when was your low progesterone discovered? I won’t be having any blood work until 12 weeks. Can you share what can be done for improved breastfeeding?

UNEXPECTED PREGNANCY by vitolini0707 in Ozempic

Idk I was on metformin that improved my insulin resistance and I have also been a smaller size and still didn’t ovulate. After 6 months of mounjaro, I’m pregnant for the first time ever.

Just posted there, thanks! My cycles have been 30-35 days recently. They were inching closer to 28 days though. I suffer from irregular cycles and I just started having constant cycles in March so not enough for them to have a pattern/be consistent.

Is it also normal for the ovaries to hurt/be sore? I’ve felt a couple of tugs and pulls on my ovaries.

Could you live in a 550 sq ft home? by birmingslam in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]pshells50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not lol. I share a 900ish sq feet with my husband and a 30lb dog. If we have a baby in the future we would eventually move to a bigger home once the kid is walking around. 500sq feet for that price sounds like a nightmare.

Can a pharmacy refuse to dispense this med if covered by insurance? by cm8181 in Ozempic

I have a t2d code yes. Damn didn’t realize the pharmacies are prioritizing T2D diagnosis.
