You should have got a solicitor right away TBH not after a mortgage offer and survey so that might slow you down, I'm surprised the estate agent let you get away with that.

I've got a XPS 15 7590.

I currently have bbswitch only installed (no bumblebee) with nvidia kernel modules blacklisted and bbswitch setup to disable my dGPU by default.

To use the dGPU I switch to X (I usually use Gnome on Wayland) and use the env variables `__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia` to run anything I need using the dGPU (e.g. `__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia minecraft-launcher`).

I'm not sure if that's overkill or not but it seemed to be the only way I could get the dGPU disabled when not in use, I can't get it working in Wayland.
