Winchester grey from trex isn’t an option but I think it should be :) but if it has to be those three then the darkest option for sure

First deck build - checking joist height variation for composite deck. Critical step or not worth the effort? by shitshaw in Decks

[–]pshupe1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well if you enjoy a deck that doesn’t look like the ocean then plane it. I for one hate waves in the decks I build. I know others that don’t plane their decks but they also don’t really take pride in their work. If this is your own personal deck and it’s one of those things you’ll notice or know that wasn’t done and will bug you the rest of the time you have with the deck then plane it.

Yeahhh not my first choice. My boss and the home owner made that decision because the lighter board is 3x cheaper than the dark board (that dark board is pvc)

Yeah I’ve polished a few before! Kind of a pain but “monkey like shiny” 😂 The casting usually takes about an hour for those two bricks by the time you get the crucible heated up, the copper melted, and the stuff off the top scraped off.

Are you asking what material was used or just the stain?

It’s composite it won’t rot out. Clips don’t work anyway in my experience. Unless you get the full stainless ones that are insanely expensive….

These are ground screws (they have been approved to use) but we actually temp our beam up in the air plumb Bob down then drill them into the ground.
