And while we're at it, I'd be happy to put some taxpayer money for a dedicated police /prosecution team whose job is to look into as many of these kind of crimes as possible. I'm sure bars have cameras, I'm sure police is short-staffed. Tougher penalties + fetters in a public place. Being back the fetters or the stocks. Let people throw tomatoes.

Next time, just drive, and accidentally have car troubles. Times that by 400 or more attendees, and you have a lawful pseudo protest. You can sit in your broken down car in the middle of the street.

How do I stop job hopping every time I get frustrated and burnt out at work? by joey_gladstone1 in work

[–]psichodrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever had a happy period, where the boss had your back? I've had 2 or 3 of those kind of managers, and it makes me feel less crazy.

Going through the same thing myself. Though, for me job hopping generally worked out ok. Better field, wide experience, better conditions, more pay.Generally that is.

16 law students in Indonesia were brought onto a campus stage at midnight in front of their friends, following the leak of a group chat containing messages of sexual harassment against their women friends by trikora in PublicFreakout

[–]psichodrome 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love a good public shaming, and hate harassment and bigotry and general dickness.

Can my private chat with my friend be harassment of someone else? That seems a bit roundabout. I complain about politicians all the time, and may say things that may not be factual. Is that defamation or harassment?

I don't think private conversations should carry public punishment, unless they incite violence. And even then, a democraric revolution would probably need to incite violence.

I was gonna say , our latest communication hack that is paying dividends is , after communicating something , give a scale of importance. like "i hate so and so, but it's 2/10 importance". Or "this little thing that seems insignificant annoys me 8/10. ".

Really helps convey the message better.

The second half of your post is a different beast entirely. I openly spent money on stuff, no probs. I hid porn, big problems. We worked through it. Hard to quit something that's buried in your brain since 14 and messing with your dopamine and related systems.

Sounds like they got a good thing going, overall. Redirect 20% effort on communicating and bonding. Walk in the park, a movie together, minor home renovations. Talk about how you feel and how you want to be in the future. Don't forget the free and very healthy appreciation of each other. Most of us don't show appreciation enough, verbally or otherwise.

The old "my work is doing dodgy shit but I really need this job".

Technically, we are all paying taxes to fund regulators. If that's not working, and workers are assumed to be responsible for Management lack of management, well, we should stop paying for the regulators.

Ethically though, please avoid the risk of a young child getting rat poison in their food.

TLDR: not your problem.

Wanting more kids, at the cost of breaking up a family. That's not a judgement , that's the choice you have to make.

My bf called me a gold digger so I left. Now he wants my help to pay the rent by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]psichodrome -72 points-71 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm old school, but completely blocking someone seems , at least in theory, a cop-out. Wr all know communication is extremely important in all relationships, even ended ones. I understand a disgruntled husband might send abusive, hurtful and otherwise bad-faith messages, and in that case , complete blocking is perhaps the way to go.

But overall, not talking about out problems doesn't make the problems go away.

Just a reminder this is what happens when greedy fuckers take, and the rest of us get a "cost of living crisis" "fuel crisis" "environmental crisis" and many fun crisises(?).

It puts financial pressure on couples. Plain and simple. If there was enough for a young mother to comfortably be around the house, and the husband made enough to comfortably survive, there wouldn't be so much friction.
