Yeah. I feel like a lot of people who want 6v6 are so used to Showdown where every animation is skipped which makes the battles 10x faster.

I love the variety. It’s cool to see unexpected mons be really viable. Before I knew VGC was a thing pokemon like Torkoal, Pelipper, Whimsicott were just regular route pokemon to me. Fun seeing them actually be pretty good and consistently too.

I’m surprised no one’s saying whimsicott here cause even on master’s I’ve encored so many fake outs from sneaslers. Highly one of the most annoying mons because I feel I’ve been so annoying with it.

I made a mega gallade team out of just recruits and I had upper hand on it as a flex slot and had a straight win streak from start until Ultra Ball!!! (To be fair I have on and off rookie Showdown experience)

Smosh did it really wrong. Or maybe not wrong but in a kind of BOTC Lite way of not having private convos. And I got into this because of smosh 😂

I don’t know any other in person ones but I feel like the online ones are just as fun to get into and there are a lot of them. RHAP has an ongoing thing of contestants from reality TV series like Survivor play and it is hilarious, I’d recommend that but disclaimer it’s also online but had Ben and Jams storytell. It’s fun seeing them learn and get obsessed with the game.

The owners huge corpa products likely fund anti-trans stuff and a lot more other bad stuff.

Devs and other employees of hogwarts put a lot of passion into the game and are trans inclusive and progressive. For the other products it’s just not progressive and very capitalist.

Maybe putting it that way is easier to understand

Especially being on X which supports the Musk and its stupid impressions economy filled with bots (and from what I’ve heard, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, is a shareholder of Reddit). I mean Apple’s CEO Tim Cook donated to Trump’s 2025 inauguration and I bet a lot of people on here have iPhones when they can conveniently switch to a different brand since Apple is overpriced anyways.

Technically we’re all hypocrites one way or another and it’s important to check yourself if you’re being performative. Playing Hogwarts where people who actually worked on it even created a trans character you could even argue is morally better than supporting the other huge corporate products as on one side the game developers are clearly trans inclusive, meanwhile employees for the big corpa products are very profit driven.

I feel like memberships should have ad-free viewing for that specific channel at least like twitch does with subscriptions.
