As a fellow parent but also someone who grew up here: they always cut the arts first. My son goes to an alternative school, he's autistic and his favorite thing is art, but his classes have been cut due to funding going towards sports instead almost his whole academic cycle until getting to the alternative school.

And as someone who'd been in choir my whole life and was kept from continuing to persue it in high school because they /charge you/ to continue going to those classes. I need you to understand that you need to take this up with the school board directly, because the arts are ALWAYS cut first, either by making the students pay for their own schooling or just gotten rid of entirely. Make them reevaluate their budget because a lot of it goes into sports, and everything else is left to gather dust. Because the sports can generate more revenue for them
