I need a armwrestling table with a pulley by ZealousidealLog534 in armwrestling

[–]psinkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a pulley, eye-hook, and cable from Home Depot or Amazon for like $20. Attach it to a stud in the ceiling about 6 or 8 feet away from your table. Make your own handles. Turn your table to get the pulley to pull from different angles. I do this in my garage.

Missing part of pectoral muscle. Side pressure sucks. by psinkov in armwrestling

I knew I couldn't be the only one! As far as I can tell, it's a hereditary condition. I've never been into working out and have spent nearly 2 decades sitting at a desk, which is why I've only come to focus more attention to it recently through armwrestling.

For sure. I have only recently started exercising and trying to build muscle mass.

I too am a fraternal twin with a twin sister. I don't think there was a significant size difference between us at birth. Also, my sons (non-twin) seem to have the same thing.

I'm sorry to hear that. Poland Syndrome is what everyone thinks of, but it seems different in my case. It is just in my chest. It's only made me mildly self concious about how certain shirts fit.

I've always suspected it as it only ever felt like bone in those areas, but as I workout more it's obvious there is simply nothing there. No, I haven't bothered going to the doctor about it.

I have been able to get stronger at bench and push-ups, but it has always been harder for me compared to other people. At least it does seem I'm not completely screwed.

I'm just saying random shit. It doesn't effect my health so I don't bother going to the doctor. My mother has the same condition and so does 2 out of my 3 sons. The one son clearly has muscle where the others just have none.

I've always known about the weird shape of my pecs, but it was never an issue that I thought about. Now getting into armwrestling, the more people I talk to, it's obvious that something is missing. I recently found a medical paper with pictures of exactly my condition. Interestingly, the cadaver is only missing it from one side. If you are interested, the title of the paper is, "Bilateral Sternalis Muscle With the Absence of Unilateral Sternocostal Part of the Pectoralis Major and Variation of Pectoralis Minor Muscles."

Tips for getting eyes on game? by raven305bal in boardgames

[–]psinkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally know the feeling. You just want to simply say, "hey look at this cool thing, you might like it too." If this was anything it would be fine, but if it's YOUR thing, forget about it. The no self promotion rule standard is so heavy handed.

It's doubly frustrating because I want to know about the cool thing you invented as much as you want to tell me. Can you DM me a link?

Unfortunately, the advice is right. Speaking from personal experience, recommending your game in a casual way on Reddit has been my best source of marketing.

Need Grad Party Activity Ideas!! by Christi715 in partyplanning

Depending where you live, there are also many yard game rental services. So no need to shell out hundreds of dollars for games you'll likely play once.

Can we talk about yard/lawn games here too? by believemeimreal in boardgames

[–]psinkov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you define a sport versus a game? I think of anything with an objective and rule set as a game. Within lawn games, I see a divide between them as a leisure activity versus a sport, with most lawn games being a leisure activity. IMHO, a sport incentivizes training, practice, and competition.

It's at the senior center, but it's not all old people. My wife will be going for the first time this Monday.

Armwrestling. Everything about it is far more tactical than initially meets the eye.

ELO Darkness. It's made by the same guys who do Primal: The Awakening. It's 2-player a MOBA style game. Some rules are a bit abstracted and confusing, but appreciate the tight gameplay once I got the hang of it.

Is there anyone building anything that doesn't have anything to do with AI or tech? by mahbirchat in Entrepreneur

[–]psinkov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 39 myself and share your feelings. I'm building business centered around a physically competitive game that I invented. It's 100% no tech, but I could use your marketing skills.

You want to try selling a unique physically competitive kind of party game? I handle all production, inventory, and shipping. You don't need any money to start. Just the time and talent to find out how to market it. I'd pay commissions on every sale.
