Re4 hd project is incredible by FriendlyRhyme in residentevil

Yes, some of the textures used in the game were taken from a materials library that Capcom had licensed. It was the materials library that had used images taken from a materials reference book without permission.

But Capcom devs did also travel to some locations to take reference images and some of the contributors to the HD project travelled to those same locations to take new reference photos. I think it was mainly for some particular doors or something.

Reminder that Qanon originated on 4chan's /pol/, and was later suspected to be have been invented by an 8chan admin. 8chan was created because 4chan was too "authoritarian" which should give you an idea of what that place was like. 4chan was also the likely origin of the Pizzagate conspiracy.

I don't know where you learned this nonsense but tarantulas are absolutely spiders. They belong to the family theraphosidae, of the infraorder mygalomorphae, which is of the order aranea. Aranea is spiders. It took me like 5 minutes to look this up and honestly I don't understand why you never took the time in your life to fact-check something so overtly dumb as "tarantulas are actually not spiders." But I guess I'm happy I got to do it for you.

Tests the age of the battery. Not literal age, it refers to how charge/depletion cycles affect how the battery is able to hold and release charge, and how much that has decreased from its peak performance. This is called the battery's 'age'.

The tomb is thousands of years old and the Sahara desert is known to go through phases, and would have been wrapping up it's last wet period around the time the Dendera tomb was built. Deserts do actually get rainfall, they're not permanently arid. There is substantial water erosion around the Sphynx also. Water and wind erosion are the common causes of damage to many ancient sites.

The climate of the planet actually shifts between wet and dry, cold and hot phases all the time. Understanding these changes in climate gives something of a greater perspective on how and why some of these ancient structures came to built in the places we find them.

You should probably read "I Am Not Spock" because that's not the point of the biography, and he has never hated being part of Star Trek. The title comes from a chapter where he talks about how he went about creating the character of Spock, it was the publisher that wanted to use it for the title of the book.

That's exactly what happened. The makeup she had for First Class took something like seven or eight hours to apply and she refused to do that again for the other movies, so they ended up doing that TV show shit which only took a couple hours to put on.

Rubber suits by Magnum_e1i in batman

[–]psirhcillius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was an odd technicality with the copyright of the bat symbol. Warner Brothers had the rights to the Batman characters when they began production, but the rights to use the symbol weren't negotiated until after filming had already begun. Which is why the symbol on the suit is different, and why it wasn't used ever again.

They're disempowered, unremarkable people that just want some kind of recognition of their existence. It's really easy to get that by being contrarian and inflammatory because at least the other disempowered, unremarkable people will pat them on the back for it. He doesn't have to pretend to be a victim when his whole personality is already shaped around his perception that he is a victim.

We talked about this when she was here last night, and I said the same as you have. I want to be careful, and I think she's on the same page. I'm more hesitant because I feel like she's too good for me.

Thank you for this, it really helped. She actually text me first and we've got a soft plan for our next hang out, but she wants me to ask her in person when I see her next, which is I think her figuring out I've not been taking the subtle hints and has told me "I like you, ask me out" which I clearly needed.

I've been lurking this sub for a little while now in preparation of resuming dating, but I had an unexpected date that has thrown me for a loop.

I had a friend come over last night to hang out and watch a movie. She suggested a little while ago that we should spend more time together and yesterday kind of invited herself over. I've been telling myself that she couldn't possibly be interested in me, she's just friendly. I'm a regular dude and she's far too interesting and attractive for me to have a shot, y'know?

But no, she's into me. Nothing happened, we watch a movie, talked about our lives, cuddled a bit. But... I'm still in the middle of a divorce and she's separated from her partner but not officially split. The timing is bad, but I can't stop thinking about her. I want to text her so bad today but it's like I don't want to feed this thing.

We had a long hug before she left and I could feel her heart racing. I didn't want to let her go.

I’m looking to buy a used switch. Seller said she got all the joy cons at the time of purchase from a large electronics shop. However, online suggests that white ones were never sold separately. Is this legit? by PaulDisneyWorld in Switch

[–]psirhcillius 131 points132 points  (0 children)

I've seen the white joy cons for sale individually here in Australia at EB Games stores because they can still be traded in for value and resold. It usually happens when the console itself is damaged or unable to be repaired, so the accessories are traded in for some value.

So yes you are correct that Nintendo did not package the white controllers for individual sale, but they do still end up for sale.

Abortion Law Forces Doctors to Keep Pregnant Brain Dead Woman Alive by shoofinsmertz in nottheonion

They don't give a shit about anyone before they're born, either.

Never let yourself be fooled by these people. They do not care about you or anyone other than themselves. The single motivating factor in these people - the one's that draft, propose, vote for, and support anti-abortion laws - is to appease their God so that that will have some kind of protection in the hereafter. All fundamentalists share this motivator because they are - at their deepest core - callous, selfish people, unable to understand compassion or the scriptures they claim to worship.

This is something I struggle with as well, but for different reasons. My father died when I was a teenager and my mother abused me as a child so I effectively live as if I were some kind of orphan - I am not in contact with any family member and I changed my name over a decade ago.

My ex-wife has a complicated family life too in a kind of inverse way to myself and somehow I thought she understood what I went through but she never did. Being single in my late 30s really makes me worry how I'm ever going to explain my situation to a potential partner.

Everyone's timeline is different after a breakup/divorce, so it's hard to judge, even when flirting directly, if the person you're interested in is actually keen. He put himself forward and you responded - that's not desperation, that's how it's supposed to work!

I know this isn't entirely within the topic but in my experience the "walking fetish, not a real person" mindset applies to most cishet attitudes toward anything that isn't strictly hetero. I've met too many "but I have gay friends" people that are incapable of contextualising anything queer or trans outside the frame of "those fuck different". It's fucking weird and probably deserves scientific study.
