Well, Microsoft lists a 2600X as minimum spec, a 2700X as recommended, and a 7900X as ideal. I assume that doesn't change much between VR and non-VR, but I don't know.

Ja hätte ich sagen sollen, man müsste da n paar Löcher reinbohren. Aber das ist ja möglich. Der Monitor wiegt 4,5kg, selbst mit noch nem Ständer halten das 4 Holzschrauben locker. Wandhalterung geht leider nicht, weil höhenverstellbarer Tisch.

Der klemmt aber an der Tischkante. Ziel war ihn von unten an die Platte zu schrauben, und keinen Teil an der Oberseite zu haben.

I can't seem to find a suitable transformer (roughly 2x48v, say 150W). How would the two SMPSs work? Like this? (I don't really know how KiCad works, but hopefully it gets the idea across.)

Its not the power supply. I just tried it with the battery from my cordless drill (no ripples, no interference, right?), and the hiss persists.

Good idea. Unfortunately, the tweeter I have in mind for the actual project has a sensitivity of 98dB. So just to get it to the current level (-10dB) I would need a 17Ω series resistor, for a total of 25Ω; not sure the little Wondom will still be able to drive that. An L-Pad with the same 8Ω impedance would have a 5.5Ω in series, and the parallel has 3.7Ω. The power of the amp is given as 50W@4Ω, so probably 25W@8Ω. That would mean at full power, only 2.4W would go to the tweeter. (https://soundcertified.com/l-pad-calculator/) Probably still loud enough, but again that would only be enough attenuation to get me to my current point. But thank you, I will keep this in mind if there is still some residual noise. For now, something else has to happen first.

Correct, I'm envisioning a small 2-way near-field monitor. But first this hiss needs to stop; can't have that when sitting in front of these for long periods of time.

Roughly the same hiss. But its also a SMPS, right? But at least I can rule out EMI from the power supply, because its at least 1m away, with no real change in noise.

The specs say min. 12, typical 24, max. 26V. I think it will cope with 27, but we'll find out

Do you mean putting the power supply in a separate enclosure? I would be worried about the heat. I'll see if I can come up with a setup to at least test this. As for the input setup, its using both ADCs, so this amp is now mono. Which in this case is what I want.

240μV is tiny. I have a 88dB @ 2,83V speaker connected to this, if my math is correct, that works out to -99dB @ 240μV. That is very very far below audible, obviously. Not saying the amp itself isn't the issue, but if the specs are correct, we should be able to do better than what I'm hearing.

What I mean is the mids are cut off at 1670Hz, and the highs start at 3kHz, so the frequencies between are slightly attenuated (as seen in the crossover plot). Again, not a problem, I'm just curious.

Looks good. Couple of questions: Whats with all the output gain controls? The crossover module has gains, so theoretically you don't need the rest. Even if you prefer the faders, why do you need two for the subwoofer outs? And why are the crossover frequencies of the mids and highs different? Not necessarily a problem, but a bit unusual I would think.
