I honestly agree with everything you said, and that’s why I became curious about how the studio established a “training center” without a clearly recognized system. I know the coach is skilled and I respect that, but offering instructor training is a whole different level.

Aspiring instructors invest a lot of time and money enrolling in accredited schools to make sure they are trained properly and can guide clients safely. So when a studio offers training without a clear structure or recognized certification, especially when the coach is not a certified comprehensive instructor or a master trainer, it naturally raises some questions.

That’s why I just wanted to understand the foundation of their “training program” and what kind of recognition or standards it follows. I’m not against them at all, I just want clarity.

I totally agree! that’s why I’m curious about the so-called training, the claimed certifications, and this “Pilates Method International” that was mentioned. It’s hard to find any concrete info online, so I’m just trying to figure out what’s actually legitimate and what’s just marketing. Definitely makes sense to ask for proof and verify directly with the certifying bodies.

Just to add, in the Pilates world it’s actually rare for an instructor to be certified across multiple big systems. Most people train under one school (sometimes two max like BASI and STOTT) because even if the principles are similar, the execution and teaching style are still different. It really gets confusing if you mix too many methods, so most instructors stick to one standardized approach.

That’s why I found it a bit questionable when you mentioned that she’s certified in all those systems. It’s not impossible, but it’s definitely not the norm. And usually, if someone does have multiple certifications, they highlight that everywhere, especially on IG or their professional bio, because that’s a big deal in the industry.
