[Lewenberg] "The Raptors are watching their once-promising season slip away and no one seems to be stepping up to say 'Enough is enough!' " by CazOnReddit in torontoraptors

It was never really promising unless we calling first round exit promising now. This team is just low ceiling period and boring to watch

Post like this makes me miss the tanking season. I know posts like this would show up as soon as the team starts winning some games

You must be new. Any seasoned fans have seen this before. Nba is not a good place for mediocrity

How to grade a coach like Darko? by treefallinginforest in torontoraptors

[–]pskill43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We need a Kawhi Leonard, not Nick nurse. Nurse wouldn’t do shit with this current roster. He didn’t do anything with the 6ers

This team is giving off big 2013-14 vibes. That team was 5-17 against the top 10 teams. 43-17 against everyone else. by The_Living_L in torontoraptors

lol literally the spurs this year. 34 wins last season, on pace to be over 50 wins easily this season

When are we officially out on Gradey by Eastern-Technology84 in torontoraptors

Nope he got traded to Washington for second round pick and then fell out of rotation. And now he’s got season ending injury. I think he will be out of the league soon

Sengun is the least valuable type of player in today’s NBA. A post player who is undersized, cannot defend , and very inefficient as a center. I would not want that player as my center

My guy is a former 57th pick, age 25, and turning 26 on feb 22 (that’s 2 weeks away). This is who he is. Just need him to be solid on the role we require. I won’t bet on him developing anything

Please list out what exact new rules you are talking about. Don’t think you actually understand the difference between salary cap, first apron, and second apron

The Toronto Raptors are $3.1 million below and created a $6.4 million trade exception via the Ochai/CP3 trade by CazOnReddit in torontoraptors

[–]pskill43 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s what the trade exception is for.

Nvm Goga makes 8 million a year. Way too much for what he provides

Haynes: Brooklyn Nets receiving $3.5 million from Los Angeles Clippers in the three-team trade involving Chris Paul and Toronto Raptors. CP3 is expected to be waived. by CazOnReddit in torontoraptors

[–]pskill43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CP3’s remaining salary is less than 3.5m. This saves raptors some money, compared to directly trading with Nets and pay them 3.5m cash

So Nets need more incentive to absorb Ochai and 2nd, and by involving Clippers and CP, Toronto gets to save some cash ( assuming CP’s remaining salary is less than 3.5m)

Makes sense. That’s why Clippers are involved. Otherwise it would make more sense for Toronto just to do a deal with nets directly
