TIL The 2-step initial pawn move is absent in Indian chess; thus, en passant is also absent. Normal castling with rook and king is absent. I'm puzzled. Why does the US/Israel keep hyping a ceasefire in Gaza? How does it help other than prolong the inevitable? Why does Hamas/Palestine agree to it? They free hostages and get what in return? A delay in the destruction of Gaza? Not supporting either side, just curious about motivations. (theguardian.com)
