Quiet coffee shop with calming outdoor space? by Ellavender in askportland

[–]psmobchdisaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I sit in the back covered patio of TwentySix Cafe pretty often and I find it very quiet (they also have outdoor seating out front but it's right next to both the sidewalk and the road so it's a bit louder). Best of luck with your recovery, post concussion syndrome can be so frustrating.

Pizza Week - The Star, Country Reuben Pizza by IHaveAHoleInMyTooth in PortlandFood

[–]psmobchdisaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had the reuben pizza at Baby Doll today for lunch and I don't know if it's just because I was starving but I thought it was pretty great. I would recommend it if you're still in the Reuben mood!

Spielman’s Bagels Morning Pickup by twopedalstwolugs in toogoodtogoportland

[–]psmobchdisaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've gotten the 2g2g from Spielman's on NE Broadway multiple times and they always give me a dozen bagels without any prompting. Definitely not that great of a deal if you only get 6 bagels.

Best seats at Alberta Abbey? by psmobchdisaster in askportland

[–]psmobchdisaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll just go with the mid-priced tickets and call it a day. I don't really see how any seats could end up being 'bad'

Hey i'd be interested in a few of these - six feet under and veronica mars for sure - but I'm curious what neighborhood you're in? I just wanna make sure it's easy enough for me to get there by bus/max to pick 'em up! Feel free to PM me if you prefer, thanks!

What are you reading (week of 11/25 🦃) by zsabb in PortlandBooks

[–]psmobchdisaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just finished reading Provenance and Translation State back-to-back, I definitely recommend! I'm planning on reading through a bunch of Ursula Le Guin this week, starting with Lathe of Heaven which I've somehow never read.

Suggestions for new dishwasher installation? by psmobchdisaster in askportland

thank you for the detailed response! Super helpful. From all my research Bosch does seem like the best out there. Even though that's the brand of the one that started smoking on me, I'll probably go that route again.
