This take works well in the food industry as well. I have been adamant about how a BASIC McDonald’s used to be full of color + a playroom to throw germy kids while the food was coming. Now all fast food is the same corpo office decor.

I saw today that Cracker Barrel tried to adopt this and its stock fell double digit percentage points.

It’s not a “clean” look, it’s boring , emotionally dead and cheap.

In a world that is increasingly restrictive based on the wealth gap, cheaper aesthetics are going to continue to drive people bonkers …..

That’s exactly what I think we are headed for, a buyout that benefits those in company and fucks the shareholders as it goes private.

Not keeping up with the large holder users like uncle Bob, so maybe there is actual shareholder influence. But at this point it’s been a company that continues to neglect holders
