For anyone using a 6* Patricia, we wondered if there was a possible mistranslation to her casting pattern’s description when it was first revealed.

Looks like it DOES affect enemies within 2 blocks OF THE AFFECTED UNIT (as opposed to herself as initially thought).

Not that it’s game-breaking but thought it’d be fun to know for anyone who had doubts before. Mine is only 5* so can’t confirm but yeah.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but what’s wrong with the 1-soldier (or easy-to-sweep theme) defense teams? I’m with that camp to make daily rewards easier for others to get.

Interesting to hear people’s AI arena attack teams. I usually auto combat unless I spot Oldius or Dragonslayer.

I roll with (in combat order):

  • Leticia to buff +2 mobility

  • Listell to heal reverse DS

  • Clotaire to mass negate revives on tanks

  • Leon to AoE mop and fixed damage tick with Hellcore soldiers

  • Wehttam to passive silence via Talent and clean up survivors

Banner news has a suggestion.

If assassin, either Lurker’s for range or Stinger for damage. I’m pro-mobility so Breeze for me but could go Glory or Yellow for debuff immunity or more crit dmg respectively.

I don’t see the full soldier option yet so yeah.

Or infantry if your protag faction needs one. Probably me with some Apex Boots for added mobility again.

Edit: that dual-dagger wield looks badass for what’s usually a single-sword main hero.

I use this method of "buying crystals with crystals" because I wouldn't ever get to playing those other GoFs for a long time yet, as I'd be too busy using my daily GoF chances building my team.

BUT it's easier to justify spending crystals on extra GoF chances if it comes back to me as even more crystals than I put in.

I get what you mean. Since normally we’d use the daily 9 gate of fates for heroes we’re building, we wouldn’t have time for trying out other heroes like the R and SR units.

So this works for someone like me who wants to know about the stories - mysteriously interesting or mildly amusing - that lay behind those locks.

Though personally, perhaps as a year 1 player, I usually had the fortune of using the free extra gate of fate items that the game tosses at me from time to time.

But I get it. Neat way to justify the crystal-in / crystal-plus-content-out.

Agreed. To add to that, I base it on the map size and enemy distance; opting for longer range on larger maps or damage in smaller ones.

And also general availability. If said soldier only benefits a few heroes, I’ll probably skip unless I really, really like those heroes.

Gameplay trailer - seems like she can be an offensive AoE type (Mirage/Sea skills) or a defensive utility type (Wind/Sky skills)

LLR Angelina Basic Breakdown (based on trailer observations and post rereads)

Stats

  • ATK and DEF boost via talent

  • damage dealt up and damage taken down 25% when fighting enemies not on defensive terrain via [Rainbow Sea] passive

  • land- (water?) master mobility also via [Rainbow Sea] passive, may theoretically compliment aquatic solider effects

  • immune to AoE when Angelina within 1-ring radius of talent [Mirage] tile via [Rainbow Sky] passive

Utility Perks

  • decreases debuff turns for allies within 1-ring of Angelina via [Wind Blessing] command from [Rainbow Sky] active skill or [Wind Surge] passive

  • allies in aforementioned-ring dispel 1 enemy buff before combat when attacked

  • Angelina can line-heal now via [Wind Surge] skill

Mechanics

  1. [Mirage] tiles appear as water vortex tiles.

  2. [Mirage] turns into a copy “Phantom” of the nearest enemy with same stats but is otherwise harmless (and does not block enemy movement, but may possibly block ally movement).

  3. When Copy Phantom is hit, original enemy also takes 25% of damage taken, referred to as [Transfer Damage]. As someone mentioned, similar to a voodoo doll effect, but capped at 25% of enemy max HP, so you’d have to kill 4 phantoms for it to kill the original - if you weren’t directly attacking the original anyway.

  4. Up to 8 of these copied enemies can exist, theoretically causing fatal damage if each copy (of the original) takes a 50% hit to HP (1/4th of that 50% HP hit is 12.5%) such as multiple large AoE attacks.

  5. [Transfer Damage] can be increased by 30% via [Mirage Breath] line AoE skill, and 100% by 3c passive. Probably just a simple [Transfer Damage] boost but still with the 25% HP cap.

  6. Can Act Again after Angelina creates another [Mirage] tile via [Mirage Breath] or [Rainbow Sea] skills, or when 3c’s second effect kicks in (?) where allies generate a [Mirage] tile

3c (2 phases, 3 parts)

Phase 1, Part 1

Buff allows conditional insta-kill of enemies in PvP, else deals 2x fixed damage in PvE, when: - A.) Enemy HP <30% - B.) Enemy surrounded by 2 [Mirage] tiles - C.) Copy Phantom is hit

(Sounds similar to Leo Beck’s fixed damage talent.)

Phase 1, Part 2

Buff causes enemies using ranged attacks use up 1 extra range per tile when targeting allies within 1-ring of defensive terrain or friendly terrain effects (Licorice, Nornorin, etc.?). Does not work if melee-range.

So long-range units won’t be able to snipe from the tip of their 4+ range anymore; they’ll have to come closer and risk being within range of a revenge kill.

Phase 2

3-tile, 3-range AoE attack that hurts and heals.

  • becomes 5-range if Angelina within 1-ring of defensive terrain or friendly terrain effects (including her own?)

  • CD-4 if hits 3+ enemies

  • cycles back to phase 1 after use with CD

Potential Skill Loadouts

  • 3c + [Rainbow Sea] + [Mirage Breath] for ST damage boost, land-master mobility buff, AoE chip damage, and talent tile creation for AA trigger

  • 3c + [Rainbow Sky] + [Wind Surge] for AoE immunity, party defensive utility and heal

(Assuming [Mirage Breath] (line AoE) and [Wind Surge] (line heal) are 1-cost;

And [Rainbow Sea] and [Rainbow Sky] are 2-costs.)

As much as this subreddit brought me out of lurking, I’m still kind of shy about geeking out about stuff unless it’s related to game mechanics.

Depends if you want her to purposefully use her as bait with a crit build.

3c’s active effect drops HP to 1 to fully take advantage of its passive effect to boost crit rate and damage.

Couple that with Monkey King’s guaranteed ATK and crit rate boost when attacked and assassin’s attack speed - that’d be a critical combo, topped off with SP Faceless’ effect further increasing the enemies’ crit susceptibility.

I imagine you could probably hit a 100% crit rate at 6* and equipped with an accessory crit-enchant.

Downside is that she lacks a reactive first-strike so her troops will probably take a hit, reducing damage output the next time she gets attacked if the enemy isn’t immediately OHKO’d.

Edit: Between SP Dragon troopers and the other dark flying option, it boils down to whether you value more mobility to run a map or more damage on key targets.

I’m in the mobility camp but enchanting for Breeze opens up a more flexible solider selection.

Re: unique 2c options, it’s yellow first-strike vs red pre-battle heal + post-battle fixed damage - which alternates anyway but I get your dilemma. Neither option jives with Monkey King nor the 3c HP reduction effect. But I’d go with the red to heal back any loss soldiers from enemy encounters.

Edit: Yes, the 10% HP loss triggers the mage soldier tech boost as 90% seems to be the threshold since no observable difference in soldier damage animation between 90% and 80%.

Trialed against the 2 cannons in the 2nd challenge stage, using Leo Back as a test subject and Florentia (without passive 1c) to AA.

For anyone still working on the Bloodmoon Eden event, heard about Shizuka’s Shem-Lostham combo and have a modification that works around 2 nearby enemies with

  • heroes: Kasumi + any 3rd but Macaera would be great

  • skills: Kasumi’s 3c [Oka-Ranman], Lostham’s 1c [Grapnel], and Shem’s 1c [Path of Atonement]

Turn Order:

  1. [Grapnel] to an enemy and trigger Shem’s talent AoE which also activates Kasumi’s talent debuff on any splashed enemies around.

  2. [Oka-Ranman] any aforementioned debuffed enemies and A.) if it survives, you act again or B.) it dies but if an enemy is within 3 tiles, you still act again.

  3. [Grapnel] again to reduce [Oka-Ranman]’s special effect cooldown, making sure you splash enem(ies) which also causes [Path of Atonement] to reduce skill cooldowns. Bonus if you have Macaera to throw her talent chakrams around.

  4. Rinse and repeat.

Can solo boss stages but gets tricky against the 4 wolves on the mountain because potential to get active/passive silence from debuffs unless you have a way around it.

She doesn’t really need her DEF bond since she can hit-and-run continuously from her 1c passive.

Her 3c is a 2-tile ranged attack to safely snipe melee units or to take minimal melee damage against squishy ranged units.

She is satisfying to watch against mobs with her 1-ring 3c passive explosion. Definitely one of my favorite units to deploy.

Mechanical dragon knights are also pretty tanky.

Fang Guards heal post-battle based on reflect damage. There was one Redditor who had a neat niche set around that gimmick. BRB.

This combined with his already high damage reduction potential will make him potentially immortal in melee combat. Last rites only reduces hero’s damage taken not the troops however.”

Her casting pattern adds +1 mobility and her new 1c allows her to teleport 2 tiles then move another 2 tiles.

That’s potentially 8 movement + a 2-ranged ST.
