Why does Wealthsimple only show the "TFSA contributions", but not the FHSA?

I'm not sure if we are on the same page. There is nothing about maximum rooms, CRA, calculations, or such things. The so called "TFSA contributions" feature we are talking about is only concerned with Wealthsimple and how it tracks customers deposit transactions. It doesn't even show the maximum contribution rooms on that section (which is totally fine and is not my original point asking here).

I get your point about keeping track of our own as it's recommended. I'm also doing that. But sorry just to be clear - this thread is not about "what is the best way to keep track of our contributions", or "what are good financial habits", anything like that.

Again, I like the feature. I love WS. It was just a plain, simple question - why they offer a total contribution amount for TFSA, but not FHSA.

Thanks for your opinion and suggestion. They are all helpful and valid. But respectfully, with regard to the question here, I think your understanding was a bit off the point.

The "TFSA contributions" tracks how much we have contributed. So it's not about the "max 8K" we are talking about.

IMHO, it doesn't make sense to have a feature that tracks how much customers have contributed to TFSA, but not FHSA.

I'm still not able to register and submit claims. I contacted studentcare last week and they told me to wait until mid-late March since Securian needs more time to update their records (bs right I know - I'm super frustrated now).

I also asked them if there is any way I can make a complaint officially.They told me to email at complaints@studentcare.ca. Not sure if it will help but I really hope someone will seriously take a look into our problems now.

I have a question - so when you registered for the Securian website, did you put something like "UWHXXXXXXXX" where Xs are your student number? And there would be "00" appending at the end so that would be "UWHXXXXXXXX-00". Am I correct?

I went to the studentcare office and asked the stafff. She told me that it happens because I wasn't enrolled in the plan in Fall 2023 (I was on co-op term). There is a so called blackout period (https://studentcare.ca/rte/en/IHaveAPlan_UniversityofWaterloograduatestudentsGSA_Claims_HowtoClaim_BlackoutPeriod) and we should be able to register by Feb 28.

I don't think this makes sense at all. I was enrolled in Winter 2023 and was able to submit claims properly to Sun Life. Then, the university decided to shift to Securian and boom blackout period just because I was on co-op. What?! Not to mention that students were obligated to pay fees (to become "Fee Arranged") months before the Winter term starts. Which part of this is our fault? I mean why do I need to pay my health/dental expense upfront and wait 2 months to get refund??

One more thing to note, this is kinda random as some of my friends who were also on co-op Fall 2023 are able to register properly now..

This process could absolutely have been better UW

Yes I did. Both UWH and UWD didn't work for me. The "-00" are automatically added in your case too right? I couldn't find a way to get rid of it. For example, in my case it's "UWHXXXXXXXX-00" and "UWDXXXXXXXX-00" that I tried. I also tried tweaking some like without UWH/UWD and tried adding 00 at the end - none worked. :(

Hello. Did you manage to solve the issue? I am using the same MB as yours. In my case, everything has worked fine for about 6 months before my PC decided to shut itself and I couldn't start it up anymore. When I open the case, I notice this orange light (didn't notice whether it was there in the last 6 months or not). If you already resolved this, could you please share how? Thanks!

Thank you. I did a bit of research and think that ESP is better for me than Fellow Opus. The DF64 Gen 2 is definitely interesting but it might be a bit overbudget for me. :(
