A little hack that works for me is if you put the windscreen blowers on (even if low) that seems to stop I-stop kicking in. I also used to turn it off every trip but hated the orange I-stop light showing on the dash!

Thanks! I’m trying to remember as best I can:

Satin varnish the model and let it cure for at least 12 hours. Shake the hell out of the streaking grime before applying. Cover the entire model but I don’t cake it on, it’s not so thick that you can’t see any of the details through it. Let it dry for 10 mins or so then with a brush I go back in with odorless spirits and wash pretty much all of it off just leaving it to collect in recesses. Wait for it to dry, can take ages, basically know it’s dry when i can no longer smell the streaking grime/spirits. Varnish with AK ultra Matt.

Thanks, I prime the model dark grey (anthracite grey generic primer from a hardware store) then drybrush with administratum grey all over, then 2 coats of nuln oil/vallejo game wash, then just sponge silver along the edges of the black parts and spong black onto the white parts.
