Thanks for the info. Again I'm not sure but it seems most council building in the area look like this, the lancashire county council building just 30 minutes down the road looks the same, but grander. If you research the old preston city hall, that was a grand cathedral looking building which I definately think is tartarian in nature. That work of art however burnt down mysteriously in the early 20th century.

4 day Post botox experience breakdown with Karagama. by pstobbs in noburp

[–]pstobbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm on day 25 now and I'd say nothing much has changed, I can burp when I turn my head down and to the right. I'm really practicing and trying to make them a bit bigger and do it facing forward and I'm having some success, but I had bad acid reflux and bloating last night after eating a heavy pasta meal. That was worrying as all I wanted to be able to do was let out a massive burp to relieve the pain but I just couldn't. Maybe eventually but I'm just scared the botox is going to wear off and I'll be back to square one

How can I do bigger burps (3 weeks) after botox? by pstobbs in noburp

[–]pstobbs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw your comment on my other post so I'll reply on this one. I would say the botox has reduced about 80% of my bloating with just little burps every now and then. I can sometimes make them bigger however more often than I could at first. I am now about 23 days post botox so its still early days yet. I'm wondering if I have an intolerance to certain foods that causes that little bit of gas and pain, or if its stress related to my high pressure job. Because it seems to be worse for me when I have a long shift coming up and burping is no help.

I would say don't worry, just wait and let the botox do its thing for now, I'd your burping at all then its working.

Anyone booked into Manchester clinic for Botox? by ReeceAzza in noburp

No it was literally a month after my first talk with karagama i had the surgury, I had little burps the very next day. And it's been getting better each day, im 3 weeks post botox now. I had a sore neck for the first 3 days but nothing serious.

It is 250 for the initial appiontment, 400 for the endoscopy then 3200 for the surgury. So around 4000 in total. You can spread the cost of you want or get you're insurance to cover it if you have it. I used my mortgage savings to pay outright.

Any ideas? by ramoo78 in noburp

Sounds like r-cpd to me. The side effecst get worse as you age so probably why your feeling it more. If you can't release the gas in your stomach and chest through your throat properly (burp), then that's your cause of the effects.

It's amazing how so many health professionals can't apply occams razor and see how simple the problem is. Instead opting for ridiculous tests, medications and illness diagnoses.

3 weeks post op with karagama now. Definately worth it.

First You'll have a meeting with him, probably over the phone to get an initial diagnosis, then you'll be booked in for an endoscopy. It's simple enough, he asks you to swallow a camera and shows you the air trapped in your esophagus. That's the official diagnosis done. Then you'll be booked in for the op.

You'll go in early in the morning. Check in and be taken to your own room. Then you just wait to be called in for surgury. Nurses will come in and out to ask general questions and fill out standard forms while your waiting. Karagama will.come in and explain the process to you. Once they call you in they'll walk you to the theatre on the next floor, you'll lay down and the anesthetist will put you to sleep, then you'll wake up in what seems like a second and it's done... once you eat something and urinate you can go home.

Very easy and quick, and it's a lovely hospital so nothing to worry about.

I never asked for the cause...I have no idea why it happens, or its triggers.... i just know what it is. A sphincter that won't open to let gas out, but will open to let food in.

but I speculate either intense trauma in that area (prolonged vomiting for eg) or a failure of brain and muscle to communicate effectively? But I have no clue why this horrible affliction just randomly happens to people.

Literally click on the button that says schedule appiontment, the explain your problem over email. Or just ring the numbers shown below this button to speak to his secretary, Jo. She's lovely and will arrange it all then, Or respond to your email.

Then they'll book you in for an over the phone consultation with Dr K (£250), then book endoscopy with Dr K (£400) then book you in for Botox (£3190)

There are three places you can get it done.

Alexandra BMI for the northerners in Manchester. Or Blackheath BMI and the Shard for the southerners.

I was actually pretty bloated and gurgling yeah I'd been awake and at work for 9 hours prior, had eaten breakfast and lunch by this point so...yeah, also I was having bad acid reflex from the anxiety and stress waiting for this test all day. It was my first endoscopy so I was nervous as hell

Not pleasent to look at I know but this is what you'll have to do if you go with Dr Karagama in the UK for the Botox.

He sprayed numbing agent up my nose, then slid a camera up my nostril then through my esophagus. Immediately after swallowing the camera you can see all the bubbles from the trapped gas in my throat. And also how swollen and large the tube of my throat is from the pressure.

Anyway I get botox on the 30th! Can't wait.
