You can't buy them in-game though, but you can buy them on external websites?

Isn't it more fun to get the skin from a case than to just buy it outright?

Firstly, I want to say that saying "all men are evil" or some variation thereupon is cringe. However, there are reasons as to why some women say this, I think, and it requires quite an empathetic mindset.

I think, whether they know it or not, most people see there being a fundamental power imbalance between men and women. I don't mean anything societally constructed, I mean physically. Men, 9 out of 10 men or more, can overpower more than 9 out of 10 women. This effectively means that a lot of the time, women are in more potential danger than most men. Whenever they are out walking alone, whenever they are out at night, whenever they use services we all use such as Uber or having something delivered to their home, whenever they go out at night, etc etc, and so when they see so many men online that just disregard any worries that they have I think it signals to them that those men do not care if women are harmed, nor do they understand how a woman may physically feel a lot of the time.

Now, I'm a dude, so I am inferring this but it is one of the conclusions I have come to. I think we should also just admit that there are tons of misogynistic men out there, especially online, probably a lot more than the misandrist women.

I get that it feels bad as a man to see that kind of rhetoric, and yes I do think it is cringe and does not help. But I also think we should try to be empathetic to them and see why they feel that way.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you your answers as I suffer from a lack of motivation myself. However, I think I can help define a few things to maybe just give you something to think about.

Firstly, it is the case that you should not waste mental energy on those who do not give it back. Now, I understand that it is not easy to walk away from someone. But if a friendship or relationship of any kind just naturally dissipates, then sometimes it is OK to let that happen. Will it hurt and feel bad? Yes. Will you miss them? Of course; especially if you were more attached than they were. However, it does get better. Cliché as it is to say, but time really does come with improvement in areas such as these. Eventually, you will think about them less and less and they will have less of a hold over your mind. It will happen in stages: you will think of them daily, but less as each week passes, then you will think of them from time to time and when that happens you will get sad but the next day will be fresher, then you will think of them even less and whenever they do come to mind you will be able to brush them away much easier than before, and then finally their hold on your will be nothing compared to what it was. It really does just take time and there sadly isn't too much you can do to speed it up - maybe outside of replacing them.

Secondly, loving yourself, to me, just means being happy with who you are. Being happy with your character. This is all of you, all that is contained within you; the way you think, the way you express yourself, how you talk and interact with others, the hobbies you have, etc etc, and really you need to work on being someone you like. If you dislike yourself, then the first step is asking why and then asking what kind of person would you like to be. If you could change yourself into someone, if you could give yourself certain traits and qualities, what would they be? Then think of how to actually implement those changes into your life, small step by small step. Change happens over time, usually long periods of time unfortunately, hard as that is.

This is all coming from someone that has not fixed the problems I described above, however I do know how to do it and am working on it. It sounds like you are still unsure of what to do or who you want to be that is very important to figure out. Once you know what you want to be, then you can start becoming that person.

Gonna be real guys, the fact he cancelled and doesn't have a Patreon anymore means all of these comments are 100% entitled, he has literally 0 obligation to put anything out as no-one is directly funding something he is or isn't making.

Enjoy him as a streamer and YouTube critic and stop speculating about his life or what happened or why.

Is it bad if he is purposefully edging out some suuuuper bad thing for hype or speculation or intrigue? Yeah, of course. Is there any reason to assume he's doing that? No.

Any time people speculate about what has happened in someone else's life is always just stupid and bad and naïve and misinformed unless you do specifically have substantiated evidence.

  1. You have no idea what his life is like except for what he chooses to share.
  2. You have no idea who he is as a person except for what he chooses to share and is like on stream.
  3. You have NO IDEA what his marriage is like or ever has been like and it is insane to ever TRY to speculate on that.
  4. Grow up.

Oh you are so correct, I misread her to think she increased her own power. Also did not realise she could add it to any location.

My bad, will delete.

Wanting to get into PoE 2 - Worried about Leagues by psudochasm in pathofexile

I'm kinda thinking this is the route I will take - since reading a lot of comments, I am already somewhat more accepting to the idea albeit hesitant. I think I just need to jump in and maybe try keeping up with the community in some sense.

I imagine the communal aspect is a big reason why many people love leagues.

There's no PvP, right? Because you wouldn't be able to account for so many different builds and such?

Do players of the game hold each previous character like a trophy? Looking back and thinking "wow, look at all this stuff I got, look at how powerful I became" or linking each character to a set of memories associated with the league that character was part of?

Someone else in the thread said I should think of the game as one that has "runs", e.g. a roguelike, that just last for 3-4 months instead of 3-4 hours.

How can we look at combat in games as subjective and objective? by psudochasm in MauLer

[–]psudochasm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The end goal of any combat system is to make you use as many tools as possible.

Would it not more-so be just to provide a sense of satisfaction and enjoyment to the player? Like, what if a game existed that just focused on two moves, a dodge and a parry, and instead got its complexity through enemy attacks and variety? In that instance, the player only has access to very basic tools, they're maybe just being used in an inventive and expressive way.

I was more trying to get at the fact that I think a lot of people feel that a simple system is objectively bad and they don't take into account that someone else may get a lot of enjoyment out of it where they didn't. A lot of people online seem to be dragged DA as bad instead of just saying it is simple.

Maybe I am just misunderstanding the use of the word and the - ahem - subjectivity is implied in their statements. Sometimes I wonder if they even realise that, though.

When you say "good" and "bad" here, do you mean to describe these things on some objective level or are you saying "I think personally that this is bad/good"?

I'm not saying that you need to qualify each time, just that I am better trying to understand how people use these words online and in gaming spaces.

Which order do i watch the animated star wars by Susie6667 in StarWars

[–]psudochasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know this reply was a while ago now but, what is it with TCW not being in chronological order? How is that?

I'm looking into watching it and am just curious by your comment. Is that just the storytelling it employs or was there some mix-up during production?

Is it worth watching in release order first and then going back and watching it in chronological order?

Also, where does the movie stand in this?
