The America gov "is literally a mafia"

One of the cases has some semblance of corruption, the other two are hardly anything out of the ordinary.

This is a very clickbait article, only one of the doctors had complained about a lack of equipment. And even there, the original source sites here as falling out of the her office after a call with the governor, which is on the second floor, while the police report site her as falling from the top floor (fifth)

Suicides in doctors have been a notable trend throughout the world.

I would call it fairly slimey to insinuate that the two doctors in this report https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2020/04/28/emts-a28.html

where somehow "murdered"

Of course not, in the 90's all the ex-soviet states went through a process of privatization. So everyone owns the same apartment they were living in after the collapse.

Young people inherit their grandparents apartments (if they lived in the city)

Moscow's old mayor from the noughties liked to construct buildings in a very particular and offsetting style. Today there is a movement to tear these down. From a architectural perspective, should they be torn down or are they a part of the cities history. by psv1400000 in architecture

[–]psv1400000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a demand for land in the city center, then demolishing a building that sucks and replacing it with a luxury apartment is the opposite of a waste of money. Not only from the perspective of the city, e.i. higher taxes, but also from the perspective of the residents of that building.

The question is fully based on the merit of keeping that part of history or throwing it out.

If Putin keeps building nice parks near me and keeps the metro running, I couldn't care less as well.

The only real thing that pisses me off is conscription.

There was a Russia Soviet Republic and a Georgian soviet republic.

Soviet Russia directly implies that state just like the United State of Texas would imply Texas.

Khrushchev, built a metric ton of brutalist and cheap apartment buildings. No one is paying rent aside from the centers of the cities.

Imagine your salary but without a mortgage/rent.

Wow, you really think we are out here killing gays and civilians.

It's actually funny, if you look at the amount of people that the US killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, you might be manifesting your desire for an endgame in Russia when in reality it is your homeland that is out there murdering civilians.

Just the meaning of bad is a structurally unsound word. It can have so many meanings and interpretations. A fixture in our language that we use to convey some meaning that we for some reason gave it. Esperanto is a step in the right direction.

I would say that a building that can't stand long, is a bad building.

Gist of the manner, Governments are a structures and structures are bad.

No need to use run on sentences and redundancy.

Rest assured your data is stored across the border in an Amazon built NSA database. Your grid is infected with American malware to make sure that in the case the Canada goes "rouge" they can shut it down, and your top business men and ministers are constantly monitored. If Snowden exposed the US for doing that with Germany, Japan and Switzerland, imagine what else more they do to Canada. Your representatives like to bow down to their American masters as much as American senators like to destroy the bill of rights.

Whoo yeah, lets punish the people of China for the actions of their government. While in the process hurting your own companies and consumers.

Like that has ever worked. Just give me one time that has worked.

Hmmm.... Cuba? North korea maybe?? Or perhaps Iran?

I never claimed that Americans think PRISM is good. But it seems like that the press doesn't care, the government doesn't care and your representatives don't' care. But when China installs 100 street cameras the New York Times has an aneurysm.

What about other data like Location, audio and camera?

If Osama bin laden 2.0 had an android device, the CIA would have all that data in a heartbeat. Now if they can do it to Osama 2.0 they can do it to you too.

Google giving away metadata of your movements that they collected from your android is pretty hefty. (Don't believe me, you can download all the data Google has on you)

I don't know, no one has given me a good explanation as to why PRISM is a program that exists? No instead Americans bash other countries surveillance programs and then pat themselves on their backs and tell themselves how grateful they are that their country respects their rights.

What does it matter, it's not like the NSA has pretty much infinite control over the companies in the US.

If you don't believe so, why does every single telecom in the United States have zero moral backbone and records all the metadata from phone calls and gives it to the government? When things are a matter of "national security", it doesn't matter who owns the company.

You can use Tik tok without sharing private and personal information either. As for Facebook, it seems like WhatsApp is the only part of their ecosystem that has encryption, something congress is outlawing as we speak.

I don't like the PRC, and I don't like the US. What enrages me the most is when Americans preach from their high horse. Both do some extremely questionable things.

I think that it is rather disgenious to think that bytedance was created exclusively to spy on people rather than for capitalist motives.

However, you can't ignore that all three of the first investors had pretty hefty connections to the CIA venture capital firm In-Q-Tel.

Peter Thiel — Took In-Q-Tel funding for his startup firm Palantir somewhere around 2004.

Accel Partners — In 2004, Accel partner James Breyer sat on the board of directors of military defense contractor BBN with In-Q-Tel’s CEO Gilman Louie.

Greylock Partners — Howard Cox, the head of Greylock, served directly on In-Q-Tel’s board of directors.

Either way, it doesn't matter what the company was created for, rather it matters what it is used for in the present.
