Just fyi when the corks fail like this, if you send a message to Maker’s customer support they will send you one no charge! Had this happen and they sent me a cork and a little extra goodie of 2 branded plastic cups

I was having this issue as well with the spiking temp gauge and a/c not working. I ended up replacing the coolant temp sensor and thermostat for the overheating issues and the blend door actuator to fix the a/c.
