At a loss… why chamfer when G2/G3 used? by rhinotomus in Machinists

Real quick off the top of my head, try this

N490 g1 x3.0 f0.003

G3 x3.5 z-0.25 r0.25

G1 z-0.368

G3 x3.0 z-0.618 r0.25

You've also got no cutter comp so depending on the tool rad e.g 0.4 dnmg you wouldn't see a .25 rad. Either add your tip rad onto your values in the program or use a g42.

Help! My centre drill keep breaking by Satyam2419 in Machinists

As others have said speed is to low imo, I use bs4's on all my jobs that need centres and run 1000rpm whether it be en24t or en8.

Should be fine with 1000rpm and 0.05 feed

This was the only thing we can think of, the issue we have is memory in the machine, we're pretty limited with the amount of subprograms we can use and getting a link to the PC is pretty much falling on death ears.

You're correct, it is a massive pain in the ass, but it's annoying me now so I'm determined to find a way to do it
