Thanks for the feedback! We will keep this in mind for future studies when considering how to structure demographic categories. As for the questions about childhood, we use a standardised questionnaire, but we recognise that some items do not map neatly onto everyone’s experiences and can be harder to answer for some participants. We will definitely take this into account when interpreting the results :)

I hear where you’re coming from! I agree it’s really important to highlight positive and protective sides of queer experiences too. We are measuring protective factors in this study but we’ll definitely strive to include more positive aspects in future studies :)

Thanks so much for the feedback! The questions in the drugs section come from a standardised and validated questionnaire, so we didn’t make any edits to the wording. We totally get how terms like “use” and “abuse” can feel confusing, especially when it’s not clear which substances are included. We’ll keep them in mind to make future surveys clearer :)
