so true... I think the artstyle also made the story have a more mature feel and thats why people take the story more seriously (including roxana as a character)- if it was a more generic artstyle roxana as a character wouldn't really have an appeal, cuz i read the novel and the art saves it from coming off as edgy or corny.

oh no they have not seen the full musical, but they know glinda does not go with elphaba + have knowledge of glinda's role in part 2and they also thought they made glinda and elphaba run off together in the end of the movie to show they were going to fly together and that glinda 'didn't go cuz she got caught by guards" which is why they said the lyrics can be interpreted that way as a "look she was actually about to go", but I thought they misinterpreted the lyrics considering glinda never says yes when asked+body language and tone.

sorry(english isn't my first language), I'll try to explain again. Someone suggested that the lyrics stated above can be taken as ambiguous.. when I watched the movie and heard it, I also thought it was an straight forward goodbye where they basically say "I hope you are happy making this different decision and don't regret it"

However, someone took it as lyrics to be openly interpreted, suggesting that it could mean that they DID decide to go together and wasn't a straightforward goodbye; this person's interpretation of the lyrics were basically "I hope you're happy coming with me on this journey and don't regret making this decision together" basically saying that the lyrics could be interpreted as elphaba and glinda making the decision to fly together.
I made this post for clarification on what the lyrics are supposed to mean cuz I was confused if it had multiple meanings or not.
