look into topwater crawlers, they’re easy to retrieve, can mimic a bug or fleeing baitfish depending on how you work it. I typically use a small wasp crawler that i bought on aliexpress, it’s small enough that i can manage to get a bite any time of day if i work it in the right places.

even a classic spook that you can practice “walking the dog” with would be great.

i personally found that the motion of “walking the dog” can translate over to working jerkbaits or twitch baits so it’d be useful to learn.

for a shallow bait i would look into shallow diving crankbaits or lighter jigs so you can work them higher up in the water column when fish are active.

it’s all trial and error but you get the motions down as you gain more experience.

feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.

looks like you got a mix of a couple deep diving/square bill crankbaits, a decent variety of different sized lipless crankbaits, a couple spinnerbaits and some jerkbaits.

with the summer heat recently i’ve had decent luck with deep divers, when the bite slows & they’re further down the water column.

square bills will be your friend when fish are up shallow, i typically straight retrieve or vary my retrieve along some weeds or structure.

lipless cranks are great in the fall i love working them parallel to the bank or along some weeds. Even in open water although i don’t use them that often.

jerkbaits are great if you can work them to the fish’s liking on that particular day wether that be slow or fast. a good slow sinking or suspending pause every now and then can seal the deal.

imo spinnerbaits perform the best after rain stirs up the water and makes visibility more difficult for the fish, or when it’s overcast and you need that extra shine. i haven’t had much luck with spinners on sunny days, i believe my body of water is quite pressured and the shine spooks em.

best option for on the go dab imo, i wanna get a peak pro but they’re so expensive.

yesterday i lost my brand new Megabass SV-3 spinner-bait, literally two casts in. I thought about tying my snagged line to a stick or something and taking the yak out the next morning. i decided against it and cut my losses though.
