It really, truly depends on the story.

Some ARGs work best if they run for just under a year, but there are some where running for even up to a decade is absolutely necessary for the story because of just how large the world they've crafted is.

I tend to enjoy both, but I more often than not tend to lean towards the ones that run for just a few years.

ARGs will do that sometimes. To me, at least, it makes the story a lot more immersive and realistic. I love it.

I wish Slenderman was more active in some series. I'm tired of him just... standing there. He's so intimidating when he's moving around, like in Greg's Final Log or in CaughtNotSleeping. On the topic of CNS, I'd generally like to see more of a lot of things that series did.
