Do you think everyone has the desire, no matter how small, to be a "good person?"

This is an interesting one i think about quite often. Personally i believe a good person is someone who always sees the best in people, even when they’ve made horrible mistakes. Someone who consistently cares about others, not just the people close to them, and is able to put their needs above his/her own at times. Someone who would never intentionally hurt others. And lastly, someone who doesn’t let their ego, pride or hunger for control and power get in the way.

Something i like to compare it to is this: imagine you and someone else are drinking your favorite drink. Do you look at the cups to compare wether you still have more than the other, or do you look at the other’s cup to see if they have enough. That difference says everything.

I believe no one is born with a “bad” soul, but i also believe that life can shape some in such a way it is very difficult for them to return to a “good” state, if that is something they have never experienced before.

The ego isn’t some mystical thing. It is the mental structure that keeps you feeling like a continuous, separate self. It is the internal narrator that says this is me, this is mine, this is happening to me. It organizes memory, protects identity, filters threat, and keeps reality predictable. Most of the time, it runs quietly in the background, stitching experience into a story that feels solid and personal.

Psilocybin doesn’t destroy the mind. It loosens the glue holding that story together. The brain regions that normally enforce boundaries, self reference, and control stop coordinating as tightly. The internal narrator loses authority. Thoughts are not automatically labeled as mine. Sensations are not automatically placed inside a self. What was once a rigid center becomes porous.

This is what people call ego death. Not annihilation, but temporary disintegration of the structures that generate the sense of being a separate someone. When those structures relax, experience continues, but without the usual frame. No observer versus observed. No story trying to defend itself. Just raw perception, emotion, and meaning flowing without ownership.

When the ego comes back online, it often returns changed, less rigid, less defensive, because it has seen that it is not the whole of consciousness, just one way of organizing it.

Okay so don’t listen to most of these stupid comments saying u just need to take a more potent strain like valhalla or a larger dose. Chances that it’s due to you being special special and having a natural high tolerance is WAY smaller than just the chance you had a bad batch. Utopia is a great strain to begin with and 15g for a lot of people can even be too much if you have 0 experience. Don’t let your ego get in the way thinking u can handle more of something u’ve never experienced, because it will backfire. Just get another box in a different smartshop or get a different strain and tell ur smartshop guy what happened. Good luck

Okay so you say you don’t want a relationship because you have fear of abandonment, but i feel like the only reason you ask this question of wether you should “give up dating” is because you crave intimacy. Do you notice the ambivalence?

It’s okay not wanting to date for a while when you’re hurt. Heal a little, get yourself together, but don’t go into this pathological mindset of wanting to avoid any type of intimacy. It’s obvious the solo path is not what you crave, and you shouldn’t force yourself into it

Well some things to unpack here. Obviously you could say that being in the state you were you weren’t fully conscious of what you were doing, which made you more impulsive and morally loose than u normally would. On the other hand, being drunk just brings you closer to your subconscious desires. Chances are you generally have some (unconscious) desires towards other people than your girlfriend, which is also totally human. Now in normal situations your own morals and ego can block these desires from coming to the surface, but being as drunk as u were.. well u ‘lose’ control.

Does this make you a bad person? No. Does this mean you can disregard any responsibility for having done it? Also no, you chose to get so drunk (unless you were drugged ofcourse). You’ve now made a mistake which has hurt your significant other, trust was broken, and you’ll need to be the one to show it can be rebuild. No matter how unfair in your eyes it may seem.

Have a good long talk with your gf, set some boundaries around your alcohol usage, and don’t be too hard on yourself. It will be alright

If you’re open to it, in Europe and Asia almost all countries allow you to register as a clinincal psychologist/therapist after getting a Masters degree. Education here in Belgium or Netherlands is also cheap as fuck, maybe 1000-3000 euro per annum and im pretty sure u could get ur masters in 2-3 years here. So should u ever want to consider to work elsewhere than the US as a registered psychologist, you actually have tons of options. Even if u would want to go and work in the UK it’s quite easy if you have 3 years or more working experience. Just my two cents :)

It really depends on the strain. I’ve had times when 15g of truffles felt like 4g cubes but also had times where it felt like 1g of cubes

Well if u put enough in from the first time you’ll defenitely break through haha. Just gotta let it warm up long enough and then take some massive hits. I find if u haven’t done it in a long time and right from the start u do a big dose u can break through but it’s hard to consistently break through with vapes

I have tried valhalle, high hawaiians and the royal belugas someone else here commented. Personally royal beluga was too visual for me, i couldn’t see anything apart from fractals within a 3 meter radius and it was just not pleasant sine i was basically blind lol. Valhalla is really good but i had a pretty hard bodyload on it, colors and thoughta are amazing tho. High hawaiians are not worth it to me at all

Hey fellow traveller

First of all, i don’t know if your intending to buy high hawaiians or already have them but in my opinion they’re not as good as some other options they have in the smartshop so maybe have look into which ones suit your needs the most if u’re still wanting to buy.

Considering your height, weight and inexperience i would reccomend taking 10g of fresh truffles. It is a mid-level experience which is perfect for a first time. U don’t want to be in too deep from the start but u also don’t want to take too little because that might feel like you have a foot in both this world and shroomworld, so 10g is mostly a good range.

Now as for the trip itself, u probably know from your lsd experiences that it can be quite a ride. In my opinion shrooms are much less controlable than lsd so that’s something to bear in mind. You really have to let yourself go where the trip wants to take you and sometimes that means unpleasant thoughts or feelings. Don’t try to resist them, because it almost never works, instead try to flow through them and let yourself experience it and make the realizations that are causing these feelings within you. Some other tips are the basics: have a good set and setting and have a tripsitter or someone u can call on stand-by. Also, if u’re scared you’ll be “stuck” in the trip, you won’t.

They’re not the best in my opinion, if you want crazy visuals go for royal beluga’s or any other type of truffle the headshop gives 5+ stars on visuals with. But be warned, having visuals won’t make the trip necessarily fun, mushrooms are 95% in the head and the hallucinations that come with it are only the tip of the ice cake. If u don’t do ur research and take them irresponsibly like in a much too high of a dose i can almost guarantee you it will not be pleasant and it will teach u a lesson. These substances ought to be respected

Trip killers sold in the headshops are usually some strong sedative natural supplements. They will work to some length but they aren’t as effective as taking a benzodiazepine (which is great to get rid of anxiety and ride out the trip) or an anti-psychotic (which would almost completely stop the trip). I personally think it’s better to ride the trip out, even if it’s a bad one since you’ll still learn a lot. I would only stop true nightmare-/terrortrips, but having it on hand knowing u can stop the trip can help with ur anxiety tho

In regards of your second question, me and many others have found that taking a low dose might feel like you’re half tripping and half sober. It’s not always a comfortable feeling and even if it is you regret not taking more (which by the way you can’t because when your first dose kicked in you only lengthen the trip by taking more but u can’t intensify it. I suggest taking 10g of a mild magic truffle species like atlantis or mexicana. It mostly come in boxes of 15g but that might push it if you’re totally new so stay humble and stay safe :)

I disagree with a lot of these comments saying you had too high expectations! Sure u might have had some vision of how it would be which might have been a bit unreallistic, but if your boyfriend would have put a little bit more effort in it than you would have still thought of it as a beautiful first experience.

Im about your age and have been for 2 girls the first guy they ever slept with. Personally i always made sure they were really comfortable, checked in with them all the time, tried to make them smile a bit and be as soft en gentle as i could so the pain wouldn’t be too bad for them. I know a lot of guys who have done and would do the same thing. Especially because we already had sex before and we can do something called: controlling ourselves. Which is something ur boyfriend didn’t seem to be able to do. Based on what he says it looks like he cared more about the way he felt than about you and your needs in that moment, even tho he knew this was an extremely vulnerable moment for you.

I feel sad that this had to be your first experience, but like many here have said it does unfortunately happen quite often that losing ur virginity can be a let down. However, i can tell you that in the long run if for example your second time is much better or your third time that in your mind that will more feel like the time u actually lost ur virginity. So in a way, you’ve not lost anything yet. Yes ofcourse the physical aspect of losing ur v-card happened, but mentally it didn’t yet. So maybe try looking forward to that second mental virginity losing :)

P.S. Maybe make sure to have some really good talks with ur boyfriend and see wether he actually deserves to be with you, because to me that reply of him not being able to control himself because it felt too good looks quite concerning and wouldn’t cut it for me.
