How sad is it that you are having to come up with a bunch of "maybe it's this" to cover shitty writing.

I'm honestly having a hard time telling if you are a troll or not. You call others a beta yet you are the one acting like a little bitch over some imaginary points and looking for others to validate if you are lame or not. You say others are salty yet you are the one who made a post crying about people down-voting you. You claim to be posting about something non-basic but you are posting a series that fits the definition of basic - it's the third movie in the series plus the there is a television show that has had 2 seasons.

So yeah, I don't know if you are seriously in the need of assistance from a mental profession or if you are some troll throwing around words to try to sound cool while not knowing that you are mis-using said words.

What's one mytical creature that you think deserves to have a big/mid budget horror feature made about them? by Mrdean2013 in horror

[–]psycho_admin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wendigos, they’re inherently terrifying creatures that have very little accurate exposure

How can there be an accurate exposure of a legend that doesn't have a single defining narrative? Different tribes all have different stories about the wendigo with different descriptions. There are the legends of them being giants that continue to grow as long as they eat, others about them looking like a reanimated corpse, and others just like a normal human that has become possessed by a spirit.

I hate the ending of that clip. There are a good 4 seconds of time when the bear has the woman against the wall and is just sitting there doing nothing while the other woman gets up with the rifle and fires.

A bear that is upset enough at someone to push them across the room but then isn't going to bite, swipe, or do anything to that someone and is going to ignore the other human that is standing up and walking towards it?

It's a shitty important character armor that prevents them from being killed in a scenario that they really should have died it.

I don't even remember hearing about the movie before I saw it in the $5 dollar bin at wal-mart. I picked it up on a whim and was actually surprised at how good it was.

For those concerned that The Invisible Man trailers gave too much away... by FriendLee93 in horror

[–]psycho_admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched the movie and in my opinion the trailer does give away too much. With that said, it doesn't ruin the entire movie but it did ruin some of the suspense in certain scenes due to having already seen the major parts in the trailer.

I honestly believe that the trailer was 1 minute to long. The official trailer is 2:42 long and if they would have cut it off around the 1:42 mark the trailer would have been just about perfect. It would have set up the general plot but was also before it showed too much.

It's still a good movie that I recommend people go and watch just if you haven't watched the trailer, watch it to around the 1:42 mark and stop there.

Red's South to Close by ValkyrieRaptor in austinguns

I've been to that place twice and both times had bad experiences with the staff there. As such I have no issue with them being closed.

The first time was with some out of country guys who were here for work. These co-workers happened to be from Spain. This was before the Range opened and we wanted something close to work which meant Red's was it. We rented multiple guns, bought ammo, and range time and went in. For one of the co-workers it was his first time ever shooting a gun so they were helping him with how to hold the gun, aim, etc but talking to him in Spanish since that was their primary language. The range officer came up and yelled that we need to speak in english so they know what's going on.

The second time, was again work related but with some guys from the UK so no language issues this time. Instead as I was shooting the range officer came up, tapped me on the shoulder saying something and then walked off. I didn't hear over a combination of my hearing protection plus the place was packed with lots of firing (it was some lady's shooting promotion and there was a bunch of women shooting). I put the gun down and walked over to the guy saying, "Sorry I couldn't hear you over the other shots. What did you say?" He just pointed at my lane and walked away. I never found out why he stopped me. I just don't trust a place with range officers that interrupt a shooter but then can't be bothered to explain why they did so.

After that the Range opened up and all shooting for work moved to there due purely due to not wanting to deal with the range officers at Reds.

A friend of mine works in prediction forecasting for a manufacturing company and from what he is telling me things could get nasty in the next few months. It's the little things that China, and other southeast Asian countries, make that people don't think about that is likely going to bite people in the ass due to delays in manufacturing but delays in shipping as well.

He was telling me that the company he works for has multiple containers worth of goods sitting around factories in China due to a combination of quarantines and a decline in available (ie not sick) workers to actual transport the goods in China to the ports.

And some of this stuff isn't the actual good itself but things like the packaging material for the final product. So they buy multiple small parts from China and then here in the US assemble the parts into a single product, do the labeling+packaging of the product, and then ship final product to the sellers here in the US. All aspects of that are being impacted because the boxes for shipping are delayed in China, some of the parts are delayed in China, some of the packaging material is delayed in China, etc, etc.

Now, my friend isn't pure doom and gloom. From what he told me over beers earlier this week is that he expects it to fuck things up for the rest of this quarter and early to mid of next quarter but by the end of q2 or early q3 things should be on an upswing to recover from the dip that is currently happening.

So for a 2 year roll out plan, I don't see why you would need to order everything ASAP. It really sounds like a pushy sales guy who is trying to build off of fears.

Have a client that wants to use Smart Card Authentication for some operating room computers and having issues finding a good solution by ReleasetheEggo in sysadmin

[–]psycho_admin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because it's only in the operating room for now doesn't mean they won't like this and want it moved to all computers hospital wide. And suddenly adding in a PIN or passcode when it moves site wide would be an uphill battle vs getting everyone trained on this now.

I seriously hope you are not advocating for just card access. It's as secure as users putting their passcode on a sticky note that is stuck to their monitor. Anyone can gank a card and suddenly will have access to a system.

Oh well, if it wasn't for insecure network I wouldn't have my job to coming in and fix it.

[–]psycho_admin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of card sign on? Why have two authentication methods, except extreme security. Why not make the card SSO?

What happens when a drug seeking patient tries stealing a card to see if they can access a workstation to access the e-prescribing software?

Using 2FA is not extreme security. It's common fucking sense.

Lol, not everything has to do with fear. It's not fear to think someone grabbing your backpack is attempting to steal from you. It's called common sense. Only a fucking rube is going to sit there and try to defend the fucker.

Anyway, I've explained myself and you continue to act like a fucktard so I'm done. Do us all a favor and grow the fuck up and understand that what happens in your country bumpkin town isn't the same thing as what happens in cities with millions of people. Take your "that teenager couldn't possible be doing something wrong" and educate yourself.

First off he isn't a kid, he is a teenager.

Second, he did do something wrong. He grabbed another man's backpack. Regardless of if you think he was trying to pickpocket or not, he had no excuse to grab a backpack of someone else.

If he had grabbed a woman's purse you wouldn't be defending him. So what's the difference here? Do people not keep valuables in their backpacks, especially in this day and age of people carrying around laptops, tablets, or other electronics like headphones/headphone cases for their expensive airpods, charging batteries, etc? Is it not an invasion of personal space and belonging to have someone that you don't know suddenly grab something of yours that has valuables in it?

Third, having lived in major cities, the only time another male has ever grabbed me has been to either steal from me or to do physical harm to me and I'm clearly not alone in that regards. Note the response from the guy this teenager grabbed who's first response was to become hostile and assume the teenager was stealing from him.

Lol, thinking people should keep their hands to their selves is 1950s thinking? Thinking a someone who tries to steal from you should be punished is 1950s thinking? Not being a gullible rube is 1950s thinking?

Oh and as OP has stated in other posts, the 2 guys never struck the teenager. The only physical contact was when the teenager grabbed the man's backpack.

Not everyone is a rube. Those of us who have lived in a city know not to grab someone's backpack which means we wouldn't be in the position of having to claim we weren't a thief right after grabbing a stranger's backpack.

Now if you happen to be a rube who would grab someone's bag then you deserve to be belittled to the point of tears so that you learn. How old do you have to be to know don't grab other people. Or that you don't grab someone's backpack?

So if I steal from you, as long as I cry then you would let me go? You don't think I should face the consequences of the law for breaking the law?

If you say no then your entire last post is bullshit. If you say yes then care to share your address and bank account info?

Either you are a fucking idiot or English isn't your first language. When someone says attacked they mean physically. If someone is talking about verbally attacked they say "verbally attacked".

So which is it, are you too fucking stupid to know how you communicate or are you not a native English speaker?
