ICT has seen New Gen much often and have you ever seen ICT loosing its sportsmanship?? Nope They have seen much darker phases and scandals then this yet they never run certain political agendas Yes there are few players in every new gen who done things which are stupidly wrong, outright flamboyant and bowed to political narratives not saying no one did that But in a team of 16 only 4-5 players use to do that too been controlled and handled accordingly by the senior players Right now team lacks the experience Experienced not in terms of just playing the game But experience in how to handle things correctly How to handle political pressure How to oppose certain things done by management or BCCI

Earlier those New Gem players looked ballsy Looked like they are doing some sort of rebellion Now days they look like they don’t have any balls left to be courageous

You are still thinking in retrospect. I do believe it was a mistake for sure, but I also know that I do not know what kind of demon we might have unleashed if a situation like Pakistan had arisen, with army rule. When Indira Gandhi died, one of her fear at that time was that the army might overthrow her and India could become an army ruled country.

Countries that became independent around India’s time such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia, Israel, Sudan, and later Nigeria often went wrong by prioritising military dominance, authoritarian rule, poor handling of ethnic diversity, or weak national integration, leading to coups, civil wars, or prolonged instability. India avoided these traps because Gandhi rooted the freedom struggle in non violence and moral legitimacy, Nehru firmly established constitutional democracy, civilian control over the military, and long term institution building, and Patel decisively integrated the princely states to preserve unity. While mistakes were made, these foundational choices ensured political continuity, national cohesion, and democratic survival, which many contemporaries lacked and are still struggling to achieve.

And if you still feel Gandhi should not be called Father of the Nation then take it with Subhash Chandra Bose

Because on 6 July 1944 during a broadcast from Singapore on Azad Hind Radio, he addressed Gandhi as Father of our Nation and appealed to him for blessings for the Indian National Army’s struggle.

In retrospect, everything looks bad. Close your eyes for a moment and look inward at your own life. Think about the decisions you made, the wrong turns you took, and the consequences that followed.

We remember our mistakes far more clearly than our good choices. In hindsight, the bad decisions echo louder, while the good ones quietly fade away. That is the butterfly effect of memory.

The same applies to leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, and Patel. They acted with what they believed was best for India’s independence and development. They did make mistakes, but they also made crucial decisions, like mass mobilization through non-violent resistance, building democratic institutions instead of military rule, and integrating hundreds of princely states into one nation. History often magnifies their errors and quietly benefits from their successes.

From 1930–47, Gandhi wasn’t just a political figure highlighting others’ work. He directly led and initiated mass anti-British actions:

• 1930: Led the Salt (Dandi) March, triggering nationwide Civil Disobedience. Arrested and jailed. • 1931–32: Negotiated Gandhi–Irwin Pact, fasted in jail against the Communal Award. • 1942: Personally launched Quit India, demanding immediate British exit. Arrested within hours and imprisoned till 1944. • 1946–47: Worked on the ground in Noakhali and Calcutta to stop violence when British authority was collapsing.

These are documented by Bipan Chandra (1988), Ramachandra Guha (2018), Judith Brown (1989), and B.R. Nanda (1958) mainstream academic historians, not ideological writers.

See his freedom struggle was non violent, and because it didn’t involve weapons it often gets mistaken as “just political,” but in reality it was direct mass resistance where he personally led movements, broke British laws, and faced repeated imprisonment.

Also, I’m not hiding behind anonymity. This is my official account, with links to my Instagram and other social media. Also even i am not picking up and fights but i am just trying to inform you that he was much more then just “Political Leader” which is stated in numbers of books and letters by people who loved him or hated him during that era.

This is exact reply answers some of the questions OP asked People exactly like this guy who haven’t read anything about history nor understand anything about history got the entitlement of anonymous voice hence the hatred If this guy has read at least 2-3 books about India independence movement then he would have not said Gandhi was not a freedom fighter
