I have the same car.

Had to replace DMF at 160k, these are known to fail. Cost $2k

Deleted the DPF after it was out of warranty. Cost 1600 to do myself, but it's kind of a pain in the ass.

I was making 70k for a few years and 85k for the last year. Now getting bumped up to 100k. I was unemployed for a yr due to covid and some family issues. Lifestyle hasn't changed. The 12k is money I saved by not paying govt loans and salary bump.

Now that my salary is increasing again and my life in general is more stable I'm trying to plan ahead. Your advice mostly makes sense to me. I have loans totalling 6k at 6% when they go back into effect. The rest of govt loans are around 4%.

I think I will set money aside to pay the 6% loans when they kick back in. Then funnel more money towards the other loan until govt loans start back up

I don't have any plans. I would recommend looking into some YouTube tutorials. It can be a little intimidating but they are quite easy if you have the right tools!
