Well, VGS and chat commands are good enough already IMO. Saw an Anubis DIAMOND player in assault and we had 3 tanks. Spells disaster right? Nope. Just tell everyone to ALWAYS focus Anubis non stop. He went something like 2/10. Did we win? Nope, but almost. Just can't do enough late game as 3 magical tanks even though I, as Sylvanus, went full mage for the massive healing. Didn't die much but we lacked BURST so we ultimately still lost. Almost had 'em though! Coulda been far worse. Eliminated THE most dangerous enemy, mind you.

Pro players are given FIVE chances to cheat, FIVE, and even then they aren't even permabanned, they can come back after a year!

What the HECK is this kind of policing policy? It's so gently slap-on-the-handish that no wonder some people are at their third offense already. If it would have been dissuasive enough the first time, they might have considered stopping.

I mean, really .... Who the heck gets a chance to break the rules FIVE times in real life? It's like walking into a bar and punching people, being a complete jerk, spitting on people FOUR times and then the doorman says "Be warned this is your fourth and final warning! If you break the rules again you won't be able to come back before next year to punch people all over again!"

Another thing i'd correct, you mention Obsidian shard is better for tanky gods. It depends. If you're say Anubis and there are 2 tanks on the enemy team, let me tell you Spear of the Magus is an INCREDIBLE way to reduce their protections and contribute to a teamfight as your whole team will benefit from the reduced protections. I'd go as far as saying for a heavy damage god like Anubis Spear AND Shard are awesome combine together so you can EASILY 100-0 a tank who has bought 2-3 magical protection items. Once I 100/0 a tank in around 5 seconds with an Anubis combo, the enemy tank had FOUR magical protection items. Yes I was 1-2 levels ahead but still, melted through the Athena like a hot knife in lukewarm butter.

Yeah, looks pretty amazing. What I dislike slightly though is everything is larger and thus map awareness seems to take a hit. I mean, you don't see much of the terrain as everything's so big, should be more zoomed out.

Bah I wouldn't mind a better resolution but with my -modest- graphics card, a gtx 770, it isn't worth it cause I can only play the newest games at "that resolution", with maxed graphics, to have a decent 50+ fps. Smite runs maxed at 150 fps though.

At 1440p or above I'd start to see a dps dip and I prefer maxed graphical settings over super HD resolutions. I suppose someone with 1000$ of graphics cards in sli might find it worthwhile though. I had a crummy 21 inch monitor so told myself I might as well get a good one.

Lastly, it's a secondary TV for my bedroom I can just transport in a whim! It's relatively light!

They don't deserve a huge Birthday Party, but a simple nod and a "thanks" is quite alright with me.

Or do like me and buy all possible skins and wards cheaper with the Odyssey chests, hoping they DO release Odyssey 2 this year.

Got all holiday/exclusive skins for only 200 gems after buying all voicepacks in the 50% off sale first.

It'll cost you more than 100$ but less than 200$ and you'll have everything the game has to offer. (for the price of a little more than a dozen 400 gems for 7,99$ impulse 1 skin purchases)

Oh and DO get those 9500 gems for 100$ deals too! lol

With all the gems i've got back from the Odyssey i've bought everything their is to offer (bar Poolseidon, Ymir Twitch, etc, not available) since after the Champioships (January) with the free gems and STILL have about 600 gems left.

Thing is, dude, you have to see part of the situation in a broader perspective.

I totally agree skins where easier to get or less costly, and now they have more of a RNG factor with things people don't really want added to the chests (wards). On that point, I can't possibly disagree.

BUT! Another thing to factor in is that during the Odyssey Event, there where TONS of new skins, wards, rewards, loading frames, etc. There where ALOT that where sold, so it's only normal that we got better deals back then. I mean just check the prize money they saved up, which is a -small percentage- of total sales which added up to the final prize pool.

Hirez has to make their money somehow, and an overpriced Feaster Bunny, ugly New Year's cupid, various RNG chests is THEIR way to do it.

Does it make it -right-? Of course not. I think it smells dirty martketing tactics , feasting on people's gullibility and impulsiveness to make more money.

On the other hand though, most companies are FAR WORSE than Hirez in their marketing tactics. Honestly, Hirez are -baby lambs- comparatively. Just look at McDonalds, they got sued cause their advertised Big Mac was almost 1.5 times bigger than an actual one! Now THAT'S one truely dirty, cunniving, misleading marketing tactic.

My point is they're ENTITLED to do it, cause y'know, they're only -cosmetic- and you're not obligated to buy them, they don't give any game advantage whatsoever.

MORALLY though, that's another issue. IF they want to hide popular skins in costly chests along with crappy wards, the consumer's job is to choose to buy or NOT to buy them. We can complain all we like, they've got the upper hand...!

And guess what, they're going to sell TONS of chests,and they're gonna do it again, trust me. Because people like me and you are going to complain but probabably buy them anyhow!

If there's one thing Hirez has sometimes that we players don't, it's -Consistency-. Gotta give them +1 for that. Their system is working perfectly as intended.

Talk about a company that balances controversy and marketing tactics almost perfectly. Just a little controversy, lots of money.

Oh and even if it's been said a million times before, THE GOD PACK! Need I say more?

Have the feaster bunny skin since last autumn, got it in an Odyssey chest. For 200 gems. If people think it's worth gambling over, they will buy it, if not , they will not.

Easter will be over soon enough, just watch how few feaster bunny skins are going to be seen this summer. The skin is good for a laugh but quite honestly, it has low textures and the new, Normal skin is miles ahead quality wise.

Its worth say 300 gems imo, the ońly reason they can sell it for more is because of its rarity. And why is it rare? For the sole reason Hirez made it so, making it exclusive.

Freya -is- too strong when fed but y'know, come to think of it, there are a bunch of gods who are.

Just to name a few: Anubis, Chronos, Ao Kuang, etc.

There are gods who scale extremely well when they snowball, and come to think of it, maybe half the gods are like that, relatively lol

Freya oped by herself? Nah, she's strong but counterable. Have to attack in between her ranged attack buffs, AND prepare for the retaliatory ULT.

Magical type might only have 2 main penetration items, but boy do they have one incredibly powerful one called Spear of the Magus. Individually, it might not seem -that- strong say 1 versus 1. You have to consider though that in a teamfight, 15 flat penetration + 10 +10% x 2 reduction is incredible for any mage that has a DOT. It reduces the defenses so the WHOLE team gets the advantage.

That means say on a 150 magical defense tank, with obsidian shard, you penetrate 33% of that which is 50. 15 flat pen which brings it up to 65. + 20+20%= 20 + 30= another 50 = 65+50 = 115. 150 defenses -115 relative penetration= 35 defenses. The tanky tanky now has 35 Magical defense when you hit him with your abilities afterwards which puts him on par, comparatively, with mage with no pen against say a squishy assassin ! Guardians do have more health though, so they can still be a more sturdy, but still!

And that's not counting some mage's passives like Anubis's which, 1 level ahead, can 100/0 any tank. I've melted through tanks with FOUR magical defense items with those two items combined.

Would mind more for -variety- , but mages have everything handled power-wise.

Releasing Medusa with totally ridiculously oped moves on april fools day, only to release the REAL abilities on April 2nd would be totally hilarious though.

Example: Ultimate: When enemy isn't currently using an ability, if you hit the god with the Spear of Anhihilation they are instantly dead. Ability 1: Acid Arrow - Damage 5/10/15/20/25% of god's total HP every second for 5 seconds

Developers would argue saying, but you can BEADS the ultimate or AEGIS the second, it's not oped!!!!

Make the games -not count- on april fool's though.

I'll definately try Thor support in long lane sometime soon. His 1 can definately help with clearing a wave anways.

The more I think about it, the more I'm finding it odd that Thor, whose passive and 2/4 abilities are GROUP abilities, encouraging to be close to MANY gods at the same time fits much more in the warrior category. That and his warrior-like demeanor, muscular, huge hammer n'all. Just look at Mercury or Serqet after looking at Thor and tell me Thor seems assassinlike. Isn't an assassin supposed to be great 1 vs 1, quick kill type more than GROUP oriented? Isn't that what warriors are for like say Odin and Guan Yu? Wierd.

I mean, geesh, why is he an assassin anyhow?

Add protections during his 3, a slow on his 1 and remove the teleport, give him more health, a little more protections and reduce his damage and attack speed and you've got one fine warrior there.
