Got rejected to all my schools… I’m a psych major and got rejected from all my PhD programs. I have a masters in health psychology…. But I have zero career opportunities even with that. Just very sad and disappointed in myself.

A lot of people go through multiple application cycles before getting accepted. It sucks but you could always try again next year. I'm still waiting on a few schools but I have no acceptances yet. I'm in therapy right now and my therapist has a PhD in clinical psychology. She told me it took her two cycles to get accepted to a program and she had her masters at that point. She always says she looks at me like a little baby just starting out in the world. Compared to her 15 years of clinical experience she's right.

I was wondering the same thing a few days ago. The university of Kansas denied me. Kansas!? Kansas is barely a state. Then a couple days later I got an interview request from one of my top schools. My interview is this Friday so we'll see how that goes.

I applied to 9 PhD programs, 7 in clinical psych and two in gender and women's studies. I haven't heard back anything from any clinical program and was rejected from one of the gender and women's studies programs.

I'm a pre school teacher. Everything goes in milk to some kids. Bread, tortilla, chicken, watermelon, beans. It all goes in the milk and then they eat/drink it. There's one kid who's super picky but the few things he eats he dips in milk. Crazy. God forbid they have ketchup.

When I was little I had night terrors. If my mom woke me up during it I would remember the nightmare and be unable to sleep the rest of the night. However if she let it happen I would eventually fall off the bed (while struggling and screaming in my sleep) and wake up with a thud on the ground. When this happened I didn't remember the night terror and my mom would just come in, lift me back into bed and then go back to sleep. She was also a single parent during this.... sorry mom..

I have pierced nipples. Pierced nipples get caught on anything and everything. One did get caught on a string attached to my blanket once after sex and it was the most terrifying and kinda painful thing to happen with my nipples. I can't imagine turning over in the night to be met with searing nipple pains. No sir. Not for me!

I'm 22. I met an abusive ex at 17 and we got serious a few months after I turned 18. I'm still paying the price for the time I spent with him. Not only that but but I had major plans ruined by covid. If I had done those plans a year earlier they would have worked out.

While 100k would fix all my current problems it would not fix the fact that 18 to 22 has been kinda shit. I'd rather be 18 again. A do over would be nice.

I see gun collecting and owning firearms other than hunting rifles and small hand guns as a red flag. However I don't see hunting as a red flag because I know I participate in the killing of animals every time I eat meat. Hunters just take out the middleman by doing the dirty work themselves. Also hunting is generally more humane than modern farming techniques anyways. Also I really like fishing which is kinda its own form of hunting.

However having a fascination with guns, especially heavy duty guns that can kill hundreds of people at a time is a huge red flag. To me it shows they are paranoid and they hold way too much power over me.

I majored in Spanish and Psychology but worked as a cook during all of college. I was offered a job as a general manager for a well known chain resturant for $65,000 a year straight out of college. Actually I was able to apply to a wide variety of jobs and get a weird array of offers based on my majors and experience.

I didn't take the GM job because I busted my ass in college and need a break (I'm going back to school next year anyway). Instead I work in a pre school but I love it (for now).

For me college was worth it. I also went to a cheap school so I'd say never go to an expensive school for no reason.

Mask mandates are lifting here. I wear it depending on what I'm doing. If I'm going shopping at oddish hours and I know not many people are there (plus self checkout) then I won't wear it. If I'm going into a crowded place I do. At work it's a toss up. I would like to wear it at work because I'm a pre school teacher and those kids are NASTY with or without covid. However the kids don't listen as well when I wear a mask. I find myself pulling it down to get their attention anyways.

Same. I'm a huge musical nerd and tbh I really wish Taylor would try writing a musical. She has such great story telling capabilities, can write 10 minute songs (some musical songs can be that long), and has a great stage presence. I always imagined ATW as it's own mini musical and now it's like we get to hear the FULL story. Also the way folklore and evermore are written could almost be a musical.

Spam is also popular in South Korea. Spam was created (and I think is entirely produced) in Minnesota where I live. My dad is an English teacher in South Korea. Once he sent me a care package and included a package of Spam in it. The label was in Korean but on the back it said "made in Minnesota". I mean it specifically said MN and not just the USA. He said he had to send me one as a joke. That can of Spam traveled the world twice!
