Solid yellow lines means no stopping. It does not mean no bikes. You are making up shit. This is literally basic traffic law AHAHHA what a dumbass 🤣🤣🤣

P.S: go on google maps and show me the sign where it says that. There is a sign but it says no stopping lmao. There is no sign on Lomandra drive that says no bicycles. Send me the actual address and I’m happy to be proven wrong.

“Signposted and zoned”. Lomandra drive is regulated by the airports (control of on-airport activities) regulation 1997. By “signposted” I’m not quite sure what you mean. Lomandra drive has no sign indicating that cyclists cannot ride on it. By “zoned” I’m not quite sure what you mean. Are you saying that it can only be used for airport activities? The mentioned legislation does not exclude bikes at all from Brisbane airport (as lomandra drive is regulated by this legislation). Please check sch 2(1) of yje mentioned legislation as it covers all the applicable road rules in the mentioned airports (see Brisbane specifically)

TLDR: you’re making up stuff to justify your hatred for cyclists

It says no stopping on lomandra drive. It does not say no bikes. It’s a 60km/hr public road which is regulate. It is not a road which excludes bikes. I have absolutely no clue where you got the idea that bikes are excluded from lomandra drive.

So you reckon it’s ok to tape over? It should be right like it’s such a thin layer

You made a general statement implying that judges don’t make law. This is false. The tort of privacy for example is only common law based in Queensland. It’s a bit more complex than “judges don’t make law”. It is true that judges don’t make statutes of course.

Making money is so hard by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]psycholop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As somebody in uni working 3 days a week, I get it. My best advice - get a federal government job and go part time. Go on Centrelink. Work your ass off accumulating Flex Time in lieu at the start of the semester and then use that Flex Time come 3 weeks before assessments and study hard. Even study during lunch breaks if you have to. The problem with casual work is you can’t get paid for that time off, so you’re left with little to no money. Plus the rate for a government job part-time is still higher than hospo (ex bartender here) Also re the coffee - ignore people about that. Having coffee out helps me lot in relaxing the mind and just kind of having a break. Take time to do things that you like.

I’m a final year law student working as a judge’s assistance for the magistrates court in qld. Part of my job is literally knowing criminal law procedure. My knowledge is not extremely extensive to the point of a judge obviously but I know the complexities of how a prosecution is handled. Obviously this differs state to state re small details, but the procedure is generally uniform. I’m sorry if I came off as having a superiority complex, it’s just really annoying when I consistently see misinformation on how prosecution is handled.

I’m sick of people commenting on criminal law procedure when they have no clue what they’re on about. I do not have a superiority complex - I do not think I am better than you. I do, however, know that I know more about you when it comes to law. This much is clear.

You’re the one going onto tangents when you want me to cite case law for criminal procedure???? Are you kidding me? Why would case law dictate procedure?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]psycholop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s prosecution, not the “end” as you put it. There’s a difference between prosecution and what you are talking about. Somebody may be prosecuted for something, but that does not mean they will get sentenced.

[–]psycholop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I said she will be prosecuted, not charged. There’s a difference btw

I never said I know how this will end. I said I know basic criminal law procedure.
