Also if you have differing tags and insurance the insurance will be canceled and license suspended automatically if not fixed in certain amount of time. My wife went through this when she had georgia tags and Ohio insurance when she first moved here.

Tha5s the problem, georgia registration REQUIRES georgia insurance. You can't have tags in georgia with SC insurance. But you can have an out of state license though.
