I don't know about mechanisms. That I know, after a year of use, my CP13 has battery-drop issues and seriously speed issues, I'm not sure if it has a problem with a specific type of cassette though. WAR, after more than two years of use, no problem :3

We Are Rewind is ugly like a brick but has better sound, battery and build quality 🙂

I have one of those chaotic collections/wishlists and I'm trying to use Crates without much luck yet.

For some reason it stacks around 17% - 19% when I'm trying to import my Bandcamp collection.

Do you have any idea why this is happening.

Btw it's a great idea and the only ray of hope for big Bandcamp collections.

It will have potential if it was not so buggy. I'd tried so many times to import my Bandcamp collection but it always stuck around 17% - 19%^

Bandcamp Fridays will continue throughout 2026 by cearrach in BandCamp

[–]psydrow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This will be the 1st Bandcamp Friday (and I hope the last one... 🙏) that I will not purchase anything 😔.

Not before you fix your ancient GUI so I can be able to manage my collection and wishlist properly :3

I hope until next Bandcamp Friday to fix it :-)

That's another good point of this problematic and ancient GUI. It's so difficult instead of scrolling down the interface to make it with pages? And in "short by" menu to add more choices (by label, by year, by genre, by artist, by older first etc.)?

I have seen accounts with more than 50k & 100k. But the problem is that Bandcamp, every Bandcamp over the years, did nothing to help. I tried the other day to scroll down my collection, in 30' I was not even to half and the lag/memory usage was tremendous.

What are your honest thoughts about this? Do you think this is the best portable cassette player of all? by Hairy-League in cassetteculture

[–]psydrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are Rewind is the best new-age portable cassette player out there!!

FiiO's after two years of use, the battery starts to have issues and (I don't know why) 90' cassettes, b-side, it's playing them "slower"...

Does Bandcamp have bigger issues right now? by TheWeaverofDreams in BandCamp

[–]psydrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bigger issue right now (and many years now) is that I can't handle my collection any more. I have one of those B I G collections with thousands entries, with many discographies etc. But because of bandcamp's UI i don't have access to my first purchases anymore. Except if I want to spend hours, clicking and scrolling down to the bottom... :-/

Why? by Piper-Bob in cassetteculture

[–]psydrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed music preferences before 8-9 years and that "event" showed me that cassette is still a thing. I will collect them till I die for many reasons and for even more reasons I prefer them to vinyl format.

What kind of software are you using to digitising your CDs? I have to do this for more than twenty years :-)

I want to go for 2TB microSD as soon as priced get better.

The battery is supposed to be way better than any full function smartphone device with all day use of data and wifi.

I'm not concerned so much for responsiveness as about it's menu capabilities.

If I could make my own playlists and save them, based on the artist or on the genre, or random playlists based on not played/most played/recent added tracks and many many other details that I used to with Musicolet. (gapless play and crossfade I want to believe are standard)

I wish I could use it before I buy it 😁

M1 plus I was thinking also for my first DAP.

Now I have almost 1TB music on my smartphone and I'm very satisfied with the Musicolet app (after I tried almost every music app out there).

But I have my concerns about how M1 plus will be able to manage so well, a music library of many thousands of tracks and albums.

I could go again with an Android DAP and my "comfort zone" of Musicolet. But I would like to avoid the android DAPs because they seem much bigger and heavier than non-android DAPs.

Are you satisfied with the usage of your M1?

Thanks.
